BSAStrawberries -- Signal Status Weak

Okay, as some may have noticed, I am obviously not coordinating the awards again this year. In fact, I don't see myself doing it in the future either. I'm not involved enough in Firefly fandom to have read as much as I should among other things.

So here's the deal, if one of you has the desire, I have no problem with someone else taking the reigns. Just comment. I've offered on LJ to [a href="http://community.livejournal.com/bsastrawberries/22536.html"]transfer the award Live Journal account [/a] to whoever is interested. You'd just need a free account to take it over.

In other news, since I'll be ending my phone service at the end of July when I move, I'll be losing my web space. if someone wants, I can copy the source info and email it to you for maintenance. Otherwise, I'll save it and see about transferring the lists of nominees to the bsastrawberry Live Journal site (I honestly don't know if I've managed to hang on to a list of the winners from last year. Plus, I'm fairly certain the awards email account has lapsed so records may be spotty).

Sorry, this is all due to a lot of real life that's going to pull me away as well as fandom drift. What time I spend on fandom, I prefer to focus on my own writing and the small amount of beta-ing that I do.

It's been fun. Thanks to everyone that's participated for the last few years. Couldn't have done it without you.

Well...I would offer to take up the reigns, but my own life has taken a turn for the busy and stressful lately, so I don't I would make a good candidate.

Still...mucho luck with the move and getting things sorted out on both ends. Really won't be the same around here if you drop on down to almost-lurker status:(

I'm sorry your life is taking you away. I hope that you are okay... (And is it bad the first thing I thought was "Why do the Boy Scouts of America need strawberries? I know we have them in the house, but the scouts are in Canadia for a week..."?)
