Last night at work I had an idiot customer come through check out and said idiot took it upon himself to verbally chew out one of my kids (one of my cashiers) because we were sold out of a product. Now, I don't take kindly to people taking out their crap on my kids, so I told him where to stick his complaint and offered to help him leave the building. Of course he said he'd come back and talk to the day manager and have me fired. I don't think this worked, as I haven't had any calls today. The point is, if you want to take your crap out on somebody, pick on somebody your own size. I can handle myself, but my kids don't deserve crap from rude people who need to go home and sleep it off. I've had to toss a couple people out myself. But why pick on the poor kids? Being out of a product ain't their fault. They just run a cash register. So if you come into a Sobeys store at night in Kincardine Ontario Canada, please be kind. I aim to misbehave!

By the way, as the kids were leaving at the end of their shift, they came and took off my name tag. They replaced it with one that said Jayne (being my crew, they've all been versed in Firefly knowledge). What's that supposed to mean?

Aww, I couldn't think of a better compliment, Jaynes girl. I one hundred percent agree with you about stupid/drunk patrons what mouth off to the wrong recipients. I get to see this from both perspectives as I am an adminstrator in job #1 and a stock clerk in job #2. (nothing wrong with clerking, BTF...) Even as an admin, I'm only enforcing rules set by the untouchables and can't change the complaintant's lot in life. But thankfully I don't see many drunkards in that line of work. The other, however, is a weekend job and we get a few. Ugh. Sympathies abound for you!!

Thanks much for the uplift regarding me own sloggish blog. The week is over and I'm glad it is. Time to move on to new challenges.

Haha, kickass!

I work as a lowly sales assistant, an having a boss that stick up for you when a customer is being-excuse me vernicular- a dick, is pretty much the coolest thing ever. That makes you one of the coolest people ever.

Now if only I could verse my boss in the ways of Joss, the next time he handed a customer back their cashy money and told em where to stick it, I'd give him a 'Jayne' namebadge! A Big Damn Compliment if you ask me!

(Big Damn Cool Story) I really enjyed reading it and yes big drunken punks shouldn'd take things out on our youth if it isn't their fault. If this fellow comes back and you have the product he was looking for you should wrap it around his big fat head. That's what Jayne would do. I think your crew were giving you a compliment.
