So there we were in outer space, moving away from the community that Doc had become a complete hero in, curing little children, vitamin deficiencies and such, and flying right past us was gorram reaver skiff, heading for all Doc's hard earned good will.

Now most of hang out in the ship's lounge or the cargo bay when we're not on the job. If the proximity alert goes off, it's not always natural for us to go running for the bridge, we usually just wait around for the captain to give us details over the com.

Captain has some difficulty on this call though, she knows we've all seen the results of a reaver's raid close up, and Jeb, our resident browncoat and cook has survived one. But she also knows all those people aren't in any shape to defend themselves or get away. She calls Jeb up to bridge and he makes about the bravest call I'd guess a man with his experience could make.

Captain gets back on the com and let's us know we're going back to take on the reavers. I see it as trying to protect Doc's investment and that makes sense to me. Everyone gets the ammo and mule ready.

Our pilot, Repo, takes our ship in low right down through the mainstreet of town and he can see the reaver rig already hovering and dropping it's inhabitants like spiders spewing from an egg sac. Being the awesome pilot he is he pours on the gas, and use the under side of Siracco to catche the skiff broadside, sending it and whoever was left on board flying fore over aft to crash at the end of town. Repo then drags our ass end around in a one eighty, flying low and landing us hard at the other end of town.

The mule is ready to go and Goose and Chase, Rez and Captian are armed to the teeth and ready to go as Jeb and Doc take positions with rifles at the main air lock ramp. Jeb hits the button to open the ramp...and it sticks!! The gorram piece of feh wu got damaged when it rammed the skiff and will now only open 45%. Rez makes an extraordinary success on his roll and slides us out at full speed.

We go zipping right down through the middle of town and one of the first thing we see are a couple of reavers running in from climbing off the wreckage of their ship, AND THEY'RE COMING RIGHT FOR US!! So Rez rolls to bowl them over. He manages to cut one through, but the other made his Agility roll and hops on board. Chase and Goose start firing like crazy, but the Reaver doesn't fall off dead until he gets in a hit at Goose, that makes all her next rolls a -2 step penalty for pain. But we reach the end of the street reaver free and turn to make another pass, shooting at reavers in action on the sides.

Meantime, Doc and Jeb are taking shots at Reavers attacking citizens rightout side the ship, they have to shoot off the edge of the ramp as it doesn't go down all the way. Doc sees some young man bleeding to death from a reaver axe decides to climb out over the door to help, Jeb backs him up with some awesome cover fire, taking out a couple of Reavers with head shots.

Through out all this Silas is in one of the shuttles trying to make it fly away, but he has no knowledge in flying shuttles so he ends up just sitting in the shuttle praying we don't get overrun by reavers.

There's actually a lot more to this battle that I've forgotten since I took so long to post, but suffice it to say we were victorious, though bloody and wounded, in taking out all the reavers that attacked us. The town hailed the crew of the Good Ship Sirocco as their heros and told us they would help us anytime we needed it.

I was worried about leaving the reaver ship there in town, being all radioactive an such, but our gamemaster assured me it wouldn't affect them...much.
