So....I'm in the thick of The Losing Side, Saved You in the War, and a fanfic satire....and what do I do but go and write another story. Fortunately, this one was short.

Last Stand was inspired by an online chat with ncbrowncoat where the subject of the defenders of the Alamo came up, and she was telling me how strongly Texans feel about the defenders. Got me thinking, and a fic was born. The Wikipedia entry "laconic" also provided inspiration (I like saying 'inspiration' better than 'I stole from a Wikipedia entry'). The Greeks were laconic, did you know that?

So....I did what I do when I can't stop thinking about something....I wrote a story. :D

Hey, thanks for the shout out. Mighty kind of you. I really love the fic. Right up there with the "Band of Brothers" speech from Henry V (I'm not so hot on Shakespeare except for Romeo and Juliet so it could be another play) and Mal's "I Aim to Misbehave" speech from the BDM... BRAVA!
