I am done with roleplaying

For the longest time, I like to do some roleplaying online. Sometimes it was FIREFLY related in terms of working out one of my fanfics. But most of them have been more "adult" natured. Now, in the last year I've taken something of a break from these kinds of roleplays because I actually wanted a real girlfriend and not someone hundreds or thousands of miles away in another country. So I meet this girl whose into the kind of stuff I like to do, but in the last few days, she wanted to do this really elaborate play that's a true marathon ordeal. While I enjoyed it (I was the one who actually came up with the scenario), I asked her if maybe we could take a bit of a break and just slow down. Maybe not play every time she comes online. I suggested this to her, and she flips. She calls me ungrateful, tells me that she's actually speechless by my suggestion, that she's not there for my every beckon call and all that. And she ends by saying that she won't stop to my level and tells me to grow up, which I find really rich for her to say since she was the one who was acting childish. She could have easily said, "OK, let's slow things down." But she gets overly dramatic and assumes I'd do something as sleazy as post the pics she sent of her to me online.

Thus, I am done with roleplaying for good. I've even deleted Yahoo Messenger from my computer. I use Facebook more nowadays for messaging. And I can easily just click on my homepage to see if I have any mail. It has been nothing but a hassle and waste of time anyways.

With the exception of my FIREFLY roleplays. Those have really helped me out in the long run.

So, did you break up with her? 'Cause if not, I highly recommend it. It's called a role playing GAME, and if she's only interested in the RPG you, then she may not want to get to know the real you.
