Triad on hold.
Saturday, March 28, 2009

My muse has up and run away on me. I have a rough idea what I want to do with this story line... But dang it, if I know how to get there!

I've tried to brute force my way through the writers block but all that resulted in was something that just didn't look right.

I also, got a review on Relics from over at Fanfiction.net that hit hard. The reviewer said that all I have been doing is rehashing the same storyline over and over.

Maybe I have, maybe I haven't. In the meantime, I think I'm going to work on the "Big one" Set eight years post Triad. It starts with a wedding and ends with a funeral. Who's is yet to be completely decided.

The Big Damn Heroes will only be seen early on except for Zoe. this will be a second generation centered fic.

I hope I can pull this one off and that it recharges Triad. Truly since I do find it annoying when I get into reading a story myself and it suddenly ends half way through.

Anyway, I'll have the first chapter of what I'm calling "Quest" up in a few days (I hope)

Brian, my advice is to ignore this person. I've taken a look at the review in question, and I can see it would be upsetting, but just look at the others. They love your stories, as do I, and so many people over there and here. (I'd also suggest looking at that person's profile - they don't exactly come across well anyway!)

As for Triad - please continue. If you'd like any help, you know I'm here. Not that you need any ... do as Ange suggests, watch some Firefly, take a moment, and it will all fall into place. What you're doing - working on another story - is a good idea too: it really helps!

And believe me, if we all looked for something different to write about each time, we just wouldn't! There's only so much fluff or smut you can write, and in order to get tension you have to have peril, and to get that tension upped to have to have people hurt or threatened.

Triad is great - I love the premise, and look forward to reading more, and whatever else you write in the meantime. You have fans, Brian, and I'm one of them!

Just calm your mind, watch a bit of Firefly (always seems to help for me) and reread what youhave written. Sometimes that can give you a spark or two. Just some suggestions.
