Things I learned this past weekend.

Things I learned this weekend:

1. Even if you leave early, you'll get to your destination at your original arrival time as I-95 has at least 3 inevitable places where you slow to a crawl.

2. Sometimes you bump into the darndest people at Boston Market. Like movie directors and their wives. MsA It was Mike Dougherty, the director of Browncoats: Redemption and his wife, Kelly. When I arrived they were already sitting with Phyrelight, Tamidala, Steamer and others.

3. A GPS unit can either get you out of trouble or into trouble, it just depends. Sometimes it sends you in circles, in strange cities.

4.. Always have a hotel suite mate that carries her own tool box. You never know when the bathtub faucet drops off. And it's usually after 1 a.m. when the hotel maintenance person has gone home to their own bed.

6. Sometimes written directions are better than GPS units.

7. Browncoats are unflappable, no matter what happens.

8. Picnic shindigs are the best, but don't forget the sunscreen or the allergy medicine.

9. Terrifyin' Space Monkeys always cause problems. But everyone still smiles at them.

10. Staying up past 2 a.m. talking Firefly and other things with Browncoats is fun.

11. Renewing friendships with Browncoats you know is good. Making new Browncoat friendships is fun too.

12. All of this equals a magical weekend as an extra on the set of Browncoats: Redemption and a once in a lifetime chance to be part of something wonderful. Many thanks to the wonderful cast and crew. I had a fantastic time and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

GPS is useless. You want to find someone, use your eyes. For us, the traffic was bumper to bumper all the way from Newark, NJ to New Haven, CT, for upwards of two and a half hours. :P However, that chance encounter at Boston Market? Craziest, randomest happenstance EVAH. That was a riot, but a blast. ;)

Of course we 'Coats are the best, but that's why we're 'Coats to begin with....Glad you lot got home safe, and here's hopeful you had a good time!

The faucet fell off? You should charge the hotel for fixing it.

But despite everything, sounds like you had fun.
