Ni hun qiu pests!

(Incoming rant, brace yourselves)

House has termites. Little bastards are getting into the basement and garage. It's kind of neat how they build these weird kind of mud tubes through the cracks in the cement, but scholarly interest aside, this kind of pisses me off.

In preparation for winter, I've been having to do a lot of chores. I didn't mind going over to my grandma's to help her, she needs the help. But that done, here I was HOPING for a couple of weekends I might have free to write, seeing as how that's really the only good time I HAVE. Pretty soon all of the leaves start coming down and I have to spend a few weekends raking those up.

No such goddamn luck, and I suspect this is going to set back my deadline for posting Eidolon even FURTHER, because NOW I have to go out and spend the time I was going to be writing moving crap away from the walls for the exterminators to get at them.

Yeah, the termite guys came yesterday, drilled a bunch of holes around our foundation and put some kind of repellent down. Could be the same stuff you used.

Leaves haven't started changing yet, odd, but it buys me some time.

2X2

Ugh. For us, it's carpenter ants. We cut down our large maple in the back yard that we then discovered had been home to a colony of carpenter ants. And once the logs were all piled beside the fence, considerably closer to the house, guess where they all started going?

We ended up using this kind of dust that is made up of ground up crustaceans, and gets in their carapices when they go through it and, well, I guess it's kinda mean, but cuts them all up inside. But that's the only way to stop them short of nasty poison from the exterminator, which we could neither afford, nor want to expose our pets to. Things seem to be good so far *crosses fingers* I wish you a swift resolution to your infestation - not just for the writing time, although that's an added bonus :o)

Ha ha! Ants in pants rather than lack of. I look forward to it.

We are infested with moths. I know they're God's creatures and all that, but KILL KILL KILL.

I've been working on it late this weekend, just to get some time in.

Hmm, insect related pests. There is some potential there for another amusing comic.

Real life gets in the way. It's frustrating, when you have an idea in your head and have no better option than to attempt to snatch a moment here and there to work it out.

Are we going to see an episode of Eidolon wherein the ship becomes infested with space termites?

Just kidding, you truly have my sympathies.
