I hope your eyes are feeling better, and I also hope you can get that New Year's fic finished. It's a real treat :) We here in Illinois are dealing with the stomach flu (me, Dave, two bouts for Gillie), and are postponing our drive home in order to lie on the couch eating popsicles and pretzels while moaning. It has not been the loveliest vacation ever, although I do love seeing my family. But nothing is worse than having your kid be sick. Nothing.

If you want to send what you have to my hotmail, I'll try to send back ideas...

@jossisagod: I have an ACER, not a Dell. It's very possible there's just something under the key - I'll likely pry it off later and clean out under it, and put it back on, see if that works. Funny that the V was the first to go for you too though, eh?

@bytemite: I generally don't like to sleep much, never have. I push myself to stay awake a lot, so I get past the burning eyes and that sort of thing, but when I start to feel sick, I know I've reached my limit, and I'd best get to bed or I really *will* get sick. Other than that, it's allll allergies. I've been exposed to dogs and unfamiliar cats (i.e. not mine) for a week straight, and my allergies are really making me aware of it. But now I'm home with my own familiar cats and bed and things should calm down a wee bit.

And, hopefully, I'll have that fic done today :o) I hope it'll be worth a Yay :oD

Burning the night oil makes for fic goodness? So... I should light some candles or something.

When I get really tired, I don't feel sick so much as my eyes burn, I get a sleep deprivation migraine, and become incapable of responding to light, prodding, or questions with anything but grunts and moans. If the Mutant Enemy zombie ever dies, they have me on standby. You sure you're not just getting sick generally? Maybe your eye infection has got up into your sinuses or something.

Not sure what to tell you about the runny eyes, willing insomnia, or fic, but if you have a Dell laptop, you can buy just a new keyboard from them for about $20.00, and replace it yourself. I had to do that with my old laptop, the V key was the first to go when mine died, as well.
