Hittin' the brakes, and crossing the line.

On Saturday, I attended the premiere of the TNA Maximum Impact Tour 2010.

The winter/Christmas period had been taking its toll on me physically. I'd been running around with my digital SRL camera, feeling pretty creative, but to the detriment of my health. The need to slow down was apparent, as I was on the road to nervous exhaustion.

So, with two weeks to go, I decided to buy a ticket for this event. Luckily, I snagged a floor seat, which put me directly in front of the stage.

I've been a fan of pro wrestling for the past decade or so. The first PPV that I watched was The Royal Rumble back in January of 2000. (Bizarrely, on the twenty third.) The Rumble introduced me to the likes of Bubba and DeVon Dudley and Kurt Angle. People who I grew to admire over the years, for their consistant in-ring ability. Fast forward a decade, and I saw them live for the first time. The synchronicity is weird, no?

Anywho.. This was a good opportunity to unwind and take my mind off the pressure. I'm still in a state of awe from all the bouts and drama, and have a deeper respect for the talent now.

Here are some shots from the evening. Thankfully, flash photography was allowed, and I was able to capture some decent pictures:

** Chris Sabin (Motorcity Machine Guns) puts Amazing Red in a wrist lock.

** Amazing Red on the ropes.

** Amazing Red gains the momentum.

** Guns have momentum.

** Eric Young (World Elite) piledrives Suicide.

** 'TIME OUT!' Rhino uses referee Earl Hebner as a human shield, as Hernandez looks on.

** 'IN THE WOLFE'S CLUTCHES.' Desmond Wolfe torques the arm of Kurt Angle, while Daniels is out of the fight.
