Script Frenzy, Dicey Audio and other stuff
Tuesday, April 6, 2010

Okay, the wheel keeps turning ... I have a new job, I work as a software developer again. Small company, nice colleagues, great fun so far.

April is Script Frenzy month ... write 100 pages of screen play in one month. Hah! Not even much of a challenge for a NaNoWriMo veteran like me. She who can write a novel in a month can accomplish anything! 100 script pages don't scare me.

I am writing a webseries. SciFi time travelling stuff. Well, not really time travel. More communication between different time lines. Enough to get everyone confused.

I will be starting a kind of play-by-post game for the Signal this month. It's called "Dicey Audio". The interesting thing about it is, that the posts by the players are not in written form, but provided as audio recordings. So it will be kind of an interactive audio drama. Check out the details if you are interested. I am still taking on players:

The first episode of "Courage" is up at http://www.bigdamncourage.com Have you seen it yet? I watched it this morning, still in a preliminary low resolution version, and it was supershiny. This is one of the best fan projects I have seen so far. I am really looking forward to seeing more.

Actually, I could go on ... there are so many things happening at the moment. And spring! Those of you on the nothern hemisphere, have you noticed? It's spring finally. Sunshine, longer daylight hours, mild temperatures, birds singing, trees blooming, all that. Life is good!

CHRISK

Good luck with your frenzy!

I'm doing it this year too - my idea is a fantasy adventure with the main characters as ordinary twenty-somethings from a quiet medieval town who find out that it's up to them to save the world. Kinda like Dungeons and Dragons meets Melrose Place. :)
