Finally watched HP's The Half Blood Prince.

This was the book which lost me from the series. The movie, however, was pretty darn good. Nice transition from the earlier ones, where Harry and his pals were just 1st and 2nd years.

The kids have grown up, and so has the tone of the story.

Am ready for the follow up movies and finish the series.

I did slog through THBP, when it came out, then tried to re-read it, before the movie. Just couldn't do it. I had some issues w/ Rowling and how I felt she was just ripping off Tolkein.

There. I said it. I fully confess the so called 'coincidences' in certain ideas from her book might simply be in my head, but it greatly diminished the experience for me. ( but not so much that I'm not looking forward to the next movie )

I've not read the last HP book, btw.

How did this book lose you.. it was amazing and the 7th was even better. You can't miss out on reading it.... must read
