perhaps. I'm working off the idea that Kaylee and maybe Wash named em, despite Mal's protests, which would explain the matching official names, Wash's use of 'shuttle one' and Mal having a different name for 'Naras shuttle.

Interesting idea. I heard them called "ladybug shuttles" on a fanfic somewhere, and kind of adopted it.

I'd actually call Inara's shuttle the Jumping Bedbug, because that seems like a joke Mal would make, shortly after Inara comes aboard and they realize they need separate designations for the shuttles, and that it just stuck. Inara probably hates it, which is why Wash is nice and calls her Shuttle One over the radio.

But, you could call them Peace Flea and Warrior Flea, and the Jumping Bedbug is just what Mal calls it and no one else.
