CATEGORY: FILK    TIMES READ: 1836    RATING: 10    SERIES: FIREFLY

Step lightly through the halls

Ancient rug soft beneath your feet

Dark wood emphasizing the walls

Worn patten blends into the stains

Feel the soft fibers in the wall

Aged fixitures cast little light

Moonlight shows the worn path

Squecks and groans from well walked boards

Finger tips tough the cold metel on the doors

Well worn tracks disappear beneath your feet

Smell the musk of time

Look out the window to the dark snow

Watch the cold glass steam form your breath

Run back to the old

RIVERISMYGODDESS

As per usual, the imagery and descriptive language is superb!
