What Can One Say
Thursday, May 18, 2006

This is piece of a longer poem I wrote awhile ago. I thought about it and realized that this part is very nice in reference to Wash and the whole post-BDM situation. I did change one or two words to make it fit sci/fi better...

What can one say

When death

Holds his head above the clouds?

What can one think

When he lurks openly

In every port?

What can one do

With the life each is given

When all is hopeless

In the end?

The sun no longer bright

The stars dull

The air putrefied

Alas that life is swiftly gone

And beauty never stays

Only the hope remains

The staying truth

All begins, all ends

But the end is good

And the after, better
