Or was it just watching,

Not caring?

Did it know the pain I felt,

The trama.

Did it cry for me,

With its sagging branches.

Will it remember me,

When I'm long gone.

Will I be the last one,

To look at you and cry.

Did it stand over me,

This Weeping Willow,

To protect me in the dark,

Or did it just stand by?

I too, like trees. Love 'em, in fact. And this is shiny, Slicy. Lovely, lyrical, flowed like a stream 'neath the willow you wove in the poem.
