Raping Serenity

Chapter Seven – Reunion

The shuttle hurtles over barren land toward the rendezvous point. Mal and Zoë are discussing the details of their arrangements with Benning. With nothing to do until they arrive at the load-up site, Serenity’s mercenary leans back and closes his eyes, the better to replay memories of the night before. He learned long ago to snag sleep whenever the opportunity affords it.

Didn’t get a lot of sleepin’ done last night, but can’t say as I mind all that much, he thinks, and a secret grin curls one corner of his mouth.

Jayne opens one eye and glances at Mal’s back, chuckling softly to himself. Cap’n’s gotta either be stone deaf or a lot denser than I am, not to have realized what’s going on, much racket as Kaylee was makin’ last night. Ai ya, that girl’s a hot one once she gets wound up good. Well, it’s about time ta tell ‘im and let the crap fly. Just can’t see as he’d pitch us both off th’ ship. With the bone-deep sense of pleasure and emotional relief he’s feeling now that they’ve reconnected, it’s all Jayne can do not to look just plain smug. The merc can’t quite grasp how the little mechanic finds him worthy of her love and keeps turning it over in his mind. Still don’t understand what would make a gal like Kaylee pick a fella with my history, but God knows, I ain’t gripin’. Shepherd told me to be patient an’ have faith. Just wasn’t sure we could work things out this way.

When Kaylee asked me to go walkin’ with her, I figured she just wanted to have some company for safety sake. Didn’t dare hope there’d be more to it than that. Felt so gorram good to get out and stretch my legs, breathin’ fresh air and lookin’ up at all them ten-million stars. Makes a man feel peaceful.

Gorram leg’s getting’ stronger, more dependable, too. Oughta be pretty much up to speed in a few more weeks. Good thing Mal was willin’ to give me th’ time to get right again.

But best of all was havin’ Kaylee by my side, just bein’ together, jokin’ and all like we usta. Felt like all that fei hua an’ tension these past weeks just melted away, and things between us was like they used ta be back before Aberdeen when it all went to go se.

The merc’s head lolls back as his thoughts ramble on and he’s oblivious to all but his inner dialogue and memories.

Didn’t think I’d ever make it to the top of that hill last night, but I’m damned if I’m gonna let some slip of a girl show me up, ‘specially when it’s Kaylee Frye I’m followin’ along after. ‘Course the view that comes with following her up a hill is worth the effort. Woman’s got about the juciest li’l tail I ever seen.

Once we started talkin’, it just all fell into place. Guess all that thinkin’ and talkin’ with Shepherd I done paid off and I musta said the right things. ‘Bout all I could do to keep my hands off’n her. Thought my daio was gonna split my pants. I just kept thinkin’, Don’t screw this up, Jayne Cobb. There’s a helluva lot more at stake here than just ruttin’. You got a chance to make this right with her and if’n it means bein’ a gentleman until she shows ya she’s ready, then you can do this.

An’ then, wu de tyen ah, if she don’t go and start kissin’ and climbin’ all over me. Never know’d a woman so prone to connivin ’ up elaborate ways ta get herself laid. All she’d’a had to do was say, “Jayne, I want ya ta bed me,” but no, she goes and hauls my ass up some gorram mountainside and want me to do her up there.

At least walkin’ back ta the ship gave me some time fer calmin’ down. We’d a stayed up on that hillside grapplin’ much longer, I mighta blown my load like some virgin boy, bad as I was wantin’ her. By the time we made it down to my bunk, I’d cooled off a little and could do right by her…

Wuo de ma, she’s such a beauty. Got spirit’n fire… She’s clever and more’ a handful sometimes, but ai ya, how I love her…

Soft snores begin to issue from the merc as he dozes off, the twitching of his eyes beneath closed lids evidence of his dreaming:

Just having her close beside him once again makes him happy, and he cradles her head on his shoulder as they talk. Having convinced himself it’d best be a cuddlin’ sorta night, he is caught completely off guard when Kaylee climbs on top of him, kissing him passionately, and his body quickly hardens in response to her.

He rolls them over so to catch the starlight in her eyes and asks the question he has to know. “Kaylee, are you sure you want this? This ain’t sportin’ anymore, girl. We do this now, ain’t no goin’ back, ‘cause we ain’t neither one the people we were when we started down this road.”

With their sides cradled in the soft sand, he reaches up with his free hand to tuck a stray lock of her hair behind her ear. She grabs his wrist with surprising strength and plants his hand firmly on her waist.

“Never thought I’d have to jump you twice, Jayne. Of course I want this or I wouldn’t be out here on a mountainside in the dark with ya, workin’ on getting’ sexed!”

With a soft giggle, she snuggles closer, throwing one overall-clad leg over his hip and pressing her fork against the bulge of his erection. A growl, low and soft, issues from deep in him as the girl begins to nibble her way from his collarbone upwards to his jaw.

Impatient now to touch her, his hand snakes up to cup the firm roundness of her breast, his thumb and forefinger tweaking her nipple through the knit fabric until it crinkles and rises to his touch.

Kaylee murmurs with pleasure and writhes against him, her hands grabbing at his t-shirt as she struggles to pull it free of his pants. The reality of the sand and his bulky gunbelt bring things to a stuttering halt.

“Kaylee…”

“Mmmm?” Her hands continue in their mission.

“Uh, Kaylee… hon, hold off now.” His voice is reluctant but firm.

“Huh? Whatcha mean?”

“We didn’t exactly plan this out so well. Unless you got a magic blanket folded up real small in a pocket a them overalls, we’re gonna wind up getting’ sand in places where you don’t want sand. Trust me, babygirl, much as I want you and you seem ta be wantin’ me, makin' love up here ain't a great idea. How ‘bout we move this party back to Serenity? Be a gorram sight more comfortable.”

“Aw Jayne…” The girl whines in frustration but knows the merc is right.

“I guess if we’ve done without each other for more’n a month, we can wait a little bit more,” she admits as he helps her to her feet and dusts her off. Then, hand in hand, they go stumbling off back down the hillside toward Serenity…

A hand is roughly shaking his shoulder.

Mal sounds more bemused than angry. “Gorramit, Jayne, wake up. We're here.”

“Huh?” The merc’s eyes snap open and the dream fades. It’s a good thing he’s got Delilah resting across his lap.

“Time to go to work. Make yourself useful, dong ma?”

Ooooooh, saucy. Haven't read any backstories, but i'm sure gonna. Always saw Jayne's lil crush on Kaylee and kinda hoped something would happen. Good job getting in Jayne's head here.

The thoughts going through Jayne's head are wonderful...so him. I love the bit about the sand and the last few lines. It's great to see Kaylee and Jayne back together. But now I can't help feeling something bad is about to happen.
Can't wait for the next installment!

People at work look at me funny with this silly grin plastered over my face. Gosh, but you write this stuff soooooo good. Makes me envious of fictional characters...

And chapter 8 is coming?

SQUISH

I get it now, all I have to do is threaten you with the dreaded PG-13 label and we magically get a little smut! *grins* Well, romantical smut, which is of course the best kind!

Loved that Jayne knows there's places you don't want to get sand (I'm betting it's from experience!). I loved that you had him thinking about this while waiting to do the job.

Can't wait for the rest!

Thanks for all the kind words, folks.

Squish, having Jayne remembering and dreaming about his hot li'l reunion over time during the story seemed more natural to me that dropping one hard-core chapter into the middle of an otherwise action oriented tale. To put it another way, this was smut in context and not smut for smut's sake. Now, Buddha knows I like to write that, too, but in the right place and time. Just like in real life, ya ain't gettin' some every day, all the time, right?

For those who have asked for longer chapters, I'll try. Each one is built around a theme, so my brain seems to do four-to-five page "scenes". Maybe I've just watched the series way too much.
Regardless, I appreciate your input, encouragement and hope you'll continue to enjoy.
