Okay... I think this may be my last poem for a while... or not. Less angst than my last two... enjoy

I watched the Heavens in her eyes,

Waiting for the day to come,

When I no longer had to run,

No longer needed to look away,

No more need to hope, someday,

That I could please her,

Make her believe,

This girl that wears her heart on her sleeve,

And, Lo! The Heavens cry,

And I saw them mirrored in her eyes,

And I am glad, for that day has come,

The day I no longer have to run.

I saw Hell, the darkness made,

But, with her, away they stayed,

No fear could bite, no terror harm,

When I knew her, awaiting for my arm,

And I saw the Heavens mirrored in her eyes,

The thing I lost, now found again,

Now I am all thats left of me,

But the world will watch as I look away,

And devote myself to her, this day.

Wow...this some might powerful stuff here, Danny!

And unless I am missing obvious clues, you can say this could work for any het pairing one can think of....cuz the imagery and ideas seem to fit the kind of devotion any of our male BDHs would should their special ladies;)
