Kaylee couldn’t contain her glee as Simon pulled her into the shower room and bolted the door behind him. When he turned around, Kaylee gasped at the feral look in his eyes but didn’t question him as he reached for her and pulled her body hard against his.

He was gentle, he always was, but there was an urgency this time, a determination, to each movement that Kaylee found highly arousing. Sure, talented fingers slid beneath the back of her coveralls to cup her backside while at the same time drawing the material down her legs.

Kaylee kicked off her boots, shimmied out of the pant legs and gasped when he wasted no time in lifting her cotton shirt over her head, planting swift kisses along the bare skin that was revealed. She giggled when he tossed it unceremoniously into the corner and pulled her against him covering her mouth with his and kissing her deeply.

“Whoa honey, what’s gotten into ya?” Kaylee asked after they’d parted, breathless. “Ain’t complainin’, mind you, just wonderin’.” Her eyes sparkled as she pushed one hand into his hair and kissed him again nipping playfully at his bottom lip.

But Simon didn’t answer, he took one look into her eyes and then dropped his mouth to her neck, pulling her tight against him as he kissed and sucked at the soft skin there.

Reluctantly, she pushed away from him and glanced down his very fine, still-clothed, body. “Hmm, sweetie, you’re overdressed.”

“We can remedy that with little trouble.” Simon reached up to unfasten his shirt but Kaylee’s hands covered his.

“Ain’t takin’ all the fun away, honey. I can do it.” Kaylee licked her lips and nimbly pulled the buttons from their holes, a small pout forming on her lips when the last two wouldn’t come free. She pulled insistently and then grinned sheepishly at him when the offending buttons scattered along the floor. With a lustful glint in her eyes, Kaylee swept the shirt over his shoulders to join her coveralls on the floor.

After leaning forward and pressing a wet kiss to his chest, her fingers quickly unfastened his pants and slid them down his legs, underwear and all. But that was the last bit of control she was allowed as his arms wrapped tightly around her and he backed them into the shower stall.

Simon lifted her into his arms and pressed her back against the wall, balancing her weight in multiple places as their mouths met and clung. Kaylee raised a leg around his hips and wrapped her arms around his shoulders, breathless and helpless to do anything but succumb to whatever he wanted. Her body, already wet and ready from their play in the engine room, tingled from head to toe as his tongue plundered her mouth.

The metal wall was cold, but the heat radiating from her body and into it from where she touched his burning skin, was enough to make her completely forget about her back.

Tearing her mouth away to take a breath, Kaylee panted for a moment before begging him. She wasn’t sure for what. All she knew is that she didn’t want him to stop. Now or ever. “Ai ya, Simon, please.”

He didn’t answer, simply lifted her into his strong arms as she shifted into a more comfortable position for him to enter her. With his mouth firmly attached to her neck, he groaned loud and long when uncounted minutes of pent up tension were released in one single thrust.

She gasped as her body stretched to accommodate his intrusion and she fisted one hand into his hair, fingers tugging at the dark locks, while the other scraped bitten nails across his shoulder. Her legs tightened around him as she struggled to find purchase against his body. The cold shower wall did nothing to lessen her desire as he held her solidly against it.

Kaylee gasped as one particularly rough thrust hit an exceedingly sensitive spot and her head lolled back against the wall, her vision clouding. She could feel his strong arms flex with each motion, keeping her well and truly secure against him. As she rolled her hips against his, she arched sharply and tightened her legs around him, the deepness of their union causing surprised gasps to echo from both their lips.

“Simon, that’s – “ Kaylee breathed, unable to form a complete sentence as each word was punctuated by another hard thrust. While she wasn’t used to him taking such demanding control, as her body tingled with excitement, she had to admit she liked seeing, and feeling, this new side of him.

Each groan, each hard exhale, was punctuated by yet another thrust into her wet, tight heat and Simon didn’t know how much longer he was going to last. He dragged his teeth along her neck, and found a sensitive spot that made Kaylee tilt her head to give him better access. When his mouth closed around it and began to suck deeply, he altered her position in his arms just enough to make sure he could pleasure her in a new way.

Kaylee’s keening cry as her body tensed and her release thundered through every oversensitive nerve triggered Simon’s own end. With each hard, sharp thrust, he grunted loud and long against her neck, his body trembling violently with the explosion of emotion that raced like liquid fire through his veins.

Kaylee could feel his body tense and then the warm burst of heat deep within her. His grip loosened and his strength gave out as she brushed her lips against his damp cheek.

“Wow, sweetie, that was – “ Kaylee struggled for a word to describe Simon’s new assertive side. “Amazin’.”

They collapsed slowly, Simon sinking to the shower floor with Kaylee wrapped in his arms. Breathing heavily, they didn’t even realize they hadn’t turned the showers on until Simon looked up and chuckled.

Kaylee simply lay with her head pillowed on his shoulder, waiting for their hearts to resume their normal pace and their breathing to stabilize. She nuzzled his neck and pressed her lips to the pulse point, grinning when she felt his trembling sigh. “I think maybe I should handcuff myself to the engine more often,” she murmured and giggled when he leaned away so that he could meet her eyes.

“Kaylee – that’s too –“

Kaylee shifted in his lap, encouraged by the slight pulse of his spent length still buried within her. She pushed her fingers through his damp hair and kissed him, long and deep, before turning a mischievous smile on him. “Honey, anything to get ya to do that again.”

The almost embarrassed look on his face made Kaylee laugh outright and pull him closer. She pressed her lips to his hair and whispered, “I kinda like this new side of Simon Tam.”

Simon blinked rapidly and considered telling her just why he’d been so – eager to sex her so hard. The memory of Zoe’s words still echoed in his mind, disgusting him, but in the wake of post coital bliss and Kaylee wrapped happily in his arms, the sting of that knowledge had lessened considerably.

Seeing Kaylee’s happy, satisfied face now made him reconsider telling her just what had brought about this change in his behavior. But after a moment he decided that it was better to let her think that he was shedding his sometimes stifling propriety. That she had no doubt enjoyed this change, only served to excite him even further as the possibilities of further ways he could pleasure her rushed through his sated mind.

Just as he decided to remain quiet, a hard knock sounded on the outside door though River’s voice, muffled as it was, could be heard loud and clear.

“You’re learning, Simon!”

Some things were better left unsaid.
