BLUE SUN ROOM FILK
A different style, but the same outcome ...
CATEGORY: FILK TIMES READ: 2956 RATING: 9 SERIES: FIREFLY
I ain’t afraid, it can’t be that
For I have lived through years of war
And peace that ain't been peaceful yet
And to this day I bear a scar
That cuts me deep: but now, tonight
Alone and tossing in my bed
The scent of you keeps me from sleep
And pounds your name inside my head
For in that bunk I toss and turn
And curse you for your tender face
And wish you gone from out my sight
For till you are it ain't my place
And in the morning, rough and tired
We bicker, snarl and mostly fight
But if you left I’d be afraid
Far more than of the dreamless night
And if I kissed you, took the time
To lose myself amongst those men
The thousands you have serviced here
And called them ‘lover’ – what happens then?
It don’t mean I love you, that I know
It’s just your perfume fills my soul
And I just want to touch your skin
To check that you are real and whole
You ain’t the one I need at all
But I would kill or die for you
You’ve thrown a spell right on me, witch
That I can’t break, that much is true
