BLUE SUN ROOM FILK

AZLENNA

Beginning To End
Tuesday, January 16, 2007

This was a poem I wrote last year, and I tweaked it to fit Firefly, because it seemed almost right for it.

CATEGORY: FILK    TIMES READ: 2634    RATING: 9    SERIES: FIREFLY

Here we are at Dawn's first light,

We've only just begun to fight,

For what we love and what we know,

The 'verse in which we all shall grow.

Believe in me, and believe in you,

And there won't be anything we can't do.

Here we stand, halfway to Noon,

Our first trial, much too soon.

Soft, quiet fears begin to wake,

Things, with trust, we can break.

Do you still believe? Believe in me?

If you do, we'll all be free.

Noon has come, we start to fail,

Your faith in me grows quite pale.

Belief has gone from me to you,

Challenges now, through and through.

Soon enough and much to late,

Evil means I can't abate.

Evening comes, and takes its toll,

Touches your heart and touches your soul.

Lost now, there is little hope,

Call to me, I'll throw you rope.

Of course, of course, you're much too proud,

My help would never be allowed.

Night has fallen, you can't quite breathe,

There's little now, but to seethe.

My child, my child, I warned you,

In one ear went it, and out it flew.

Within me you can't abide,

The Alliance was foiled by their own sweet pride.

Oh my...that was freaking beautiful stuff, Azlenna! If there was much tweaking, it's not noticible. Least not to me;)
