NIDRIAN

Ok, so I am not very good at blending (although I have my moments) and as such, I'm not really very good at collages. However, This particular idea struck me and I decided to give it a go. Not much in the way of a collage but still enough images overlapping to count I think...Anyway, comments appreciated!

That's really very nicely done. Is that quote from someplace?

Nidrian, it always counts; if for nothing else, because it has meaning to you. Besides, I love the theme and execution of it. Apart from wanting to clip that one nose hair, lol, I think it's really a very good work. I love how all the faces overlap. Mighty shiny. And the quote fits Mal perfectly.

Beautiful. What a wonderfully fitting quote.

Poet AND artisan, eh? Quite the list of talents you're showing off, Nidrian;)

And I too love this! Definitely like the simple blending of images relating to Mal and his former faith. The quote is faboo as well;D

Out of Gas Mal - SMALL
OK so I fixed the size on this. I didn't realize it was soooo massive....anyway same commentary cut and pasted from the massive version: Wow, it has been a super long time since I have posted anything! I have been really busy with my classes and stuck in a creative funk which pretty much sucks. I have decided to try to teach myself how to draw - I'm using the middle school art class tactic of square-by-square which is a sort of cross between freehand and copying. At least thats how I see it. Anywho, this is my first attempt - the mouth is a little weird, the eyes aren't exactly the way I thought they should be and my scanner didn't pick up all the nuances of the shading but, eh, what can ya do? Not too shabby for a first go of it. Comments are like candy. I can never get enough!

River - Bushwhacked (Blue)
Second version with similar uncreative title. Comments are great, as always.

River - Bushwhacked (Red)
Very uncreative title, I know. I kinda struggled with what to do with this one...I started with the background but it needed something more - I came up with two versions, the second of which will be posted shortly. Anyway, comments are awesome and I always love hearing what everyone thinks! =D

Melted III
Third and final color scheme. No text version available upon request.

Melted II
Second color scheme. No text version available upon request.

Melted
So, I have been having kind of a rough day (don't worry, I won't prattle on about the details, suffice to say a close friend is in the hospital) and as always, photoshop becomes my therapy to get my mind off of things for a little while- I had about three different color schemes for this and I think this is probably the best. If anyone would like for me to post the other two different color schemes, just ask and no-text version is available upon request.

Broken - No Text
For anyone who likes no text better.
:)

Broken
Ok so the text I came up with myself and boy was it tricky. I wrote two verses and I wasn't happy with the lines but then just as a goof thought I alternated first and second verse lines and I think its rather schnazzy now. Overall, I am very very pleased with how this turned out, especially with the images of Inara - The image of Mal gave me one hell of a time, but I think it turned out ok. No text version can be posted if desired, just let me know. Anyway, comments are always awesome.

River III
Third River wallpaper that I've done, kinda sorta happy with how it turned out, I'm still deciding. The more I look at it, the more I like it, but I'm not sure it's 100% as great as it could be. Anyway, comments, as always, are great.
