Chapter 16

Jayne and Maggie walked around looking for a place to stay, Jayne took them as far away from the spaceport as possible. “Jayne, can we stop for dinner?” Maggie looked to him like she is about ready to drop. “Yeah, let’s stop here for a bit.” He helped Maggie with her bags, they entered the bar “They have good cheap food.” Jayne said putting all their stuff in a pile. He’s not use to worrying about anyone else, felt kinda strange looking after her. They ordered some food and drink and settled down. “Where are we headed?” Maggie asked after the barman leaves. “Not sure? Where you want to go?” He asked, looking a little worried. “Jayne, what happened on the ship?” She took his hand and held it. “Talk about it later. We need to find somewhere to stay.” Jayne avoided Maggie's eyes as he eats. “They have rooms here? Looks clean enough.” Maggie looked around. “You don’t mind staying in a bar?” Jayne’s a little surprised she would stay here. “Well, if it’s clean and cheap, I have no problem with it. Besides, my feet are killing me.” She looked at him and smiled. “Good a place as any.” He walked up to the barman and made arrangement for a large room with a bath, pretty cheap when there’s no whore involved. Coming back he gathered up all their bags “Let’s go, Baby.” The room was worn and clean, big and warm and had a large bathtub. Maggie was in heaven. “Oh Jayne, a real bath, thank you.” She threw her arms around his neck and they tumbled onto the bed. Maggie could not believe how happy she was, even if they have no idea where they are going, at least they are together. Jayne has pinned her down and is slowly removing her clothes, mostly with his teeth. Maggie wanted to know why they were here, but right now it doesn’t seem all that important. For the first time they can take all the time they want and make all the noise they want and Jayne is trying his best to do both………. “You OK? Got a little rough there, sorry.” Jayne asked, he stroked her back as she laid draped over his chest. “Little sore, nothing a long hot bath won’t heal.” Kissing the nipple closest to her mouth. “Girl, you keep that up you’ll never make it to the bath.” Jayne growled at her. “Bath.. can.. wait...” She attacked the other nipple with her mouth, while rubbing his shaft with her free hand. “You are gonna be the death of me.” Jayne moaned as he guided her hand, she is getting better and really seems to enjoy making him squirm. “You want me to stop?” she grinned evilly at him. “Never!” He bent down to kiss her and sped up their hands until he came all over them “Now you can take your bath” Maggie smiled at him and got up to fill the bath. She so wanted to ask him what happened, but knows he’ll tell her when he’s ready. Wetting a towel she cleaned him off, he was already half asleep. She was enjoying her bath, when Jayne came in “Any room for me?” She sat up, looking at him “Always.” He slipped in behind her and they both laid back. “Captain saw us in the kitchen, he came down to the hold and told me you were off limits.” Jayne had his arms around her waist, hands over her breast, slowly rubbing her nipples with his thumbs. “What did you say?” “I told him no, then he said it was an order.” Jayne shifted a little, remembering the look on Mal’s face. “Told him I didn’t care, you where special. He told me to get off the ship. He said I wasn’t good enough for you, hell I know that.” He kissed the top of her head “I’m kinda surprised that you left with me, you.. know.. without.. knowing.. why.” “You thought I would stay on the ship without you?” Maggie turned in his arms “Jayne, you are my husband, I’d follow you anywhere.” Stretching up she kissed him “How come you didn’t tell him we’re married?” “Just so angry, with myself for the stunt in the kitchen and with Mal for not thinking I was good enough for anyone. Hell, he never tells Simon to stay away from Kaylee. ‘Side I was afraid he would enforce that annulment thing.” “Little late for that!” Maggie laughed and hugged him “So where do we want to go? You said the other day that we weren’t too far from your Mom’s ranch, you want to go there until we figure stuff out?” “Yeah, be good to see Ma. She said Matty was still sick, she could probably use some help. You done bathing yet, looking kinda pruny.” He yelped when she pinched his nipple. “Need to wash my hair.” She sat up and reached for shampoo. “I’ll do that.” Taking it from her hand. Maggie can not believe that this hired killer wanted to wash her hair. He started rubbing and cleaning, Maggie can tell this is not his first time washing someone's hair, but she does not want to know who he learned on. Soon hair is not all he is cleaning….
