Uh... I didn't get the impression that we were dealing with 5 systems. :\ Why did you set it up that way? And how do they relate on the Z-axis? Just curious...

I thought the official RPG guide actually has a layout... ;)

I still want to understand how this is one system. I admit, I don't have the RPG book, so I'm going off what I've heard everywhere else. And why do I think this'd be simpler as a top-down view? Otherwise, cool, it's my desktop image, too!

It is a system of stars and planets. All the outer stars orbit the central star. There is even a line in the original shooting script (in the Serenity Visual Companion) that indicates that the system is composed of "stars, planets and moons". No clovers, hearts, or diamonds, though...

And this is the last time I address the issue. Everyone is welcome to use their own interpretation of the 'Verse. I've just accepted the version in the PRG book, and clarified it for those that might agree.

As an example of multiple star systems... Castor in the Gemini constellation is a set of 3 binaries... 6 stars all together... a binary is 2 stars spinning around each other... 2 of Castor's binaries orbit around each other and the 3rd binary has a large orbit around that. So it's possible to have a set of stars that are gravitationally bound to one central star. But this picture doesn't jive with the picture of the 'verse in the film at the beginning which showed concentric orbits of about 18-24 planets. I got that Visual Companion on order and am waiting with baited breath for it's arrival.
