RIVERGODDESS

Wow, her expression is spot-on! I love this scene, it's so cute with her, Simon and Inara. I love all the different textures in this one, too.

Okay, my first response to one of your drawings, and it's an older one... sorry, but I just discovered your work thanks to the request for the "River Triumphant" scene. Am I ever impressed!

What amazes me about this particular drawing is the way you've managed to capture her body language. She's clearly craning her neck and peering -- yet you barely devote two strokes to her neck. Astonishing.

After I read your strip panels (0001-0005 so far) it struck me that if I were a friend of Joss Whedon's, I'd start putting a bug in his ear about putting your talents to work for the 'verse. You should be given a daily Firefly strip and be syndicated to newspapers. Not only would your work be a fine reflection on the franchise, it would undoubtedly bring a whole flood of new fans into the Browncoat ranks.

The only downside I see is the danger that lurks whenever you turn a hobby into a job: burnout. But from what I've seen here you have a powerful love for the 'verse, easily the match of the most fanatical Flan. So maybe you could pull it off.

Whatever may come, I hope you go on with your work, and continue to share with us not-worthy admirers.
