Wadddya think ? Keep doing the new technique? As my for my opinion : these are easier for me since all my other drawings continue on after this step...

I think both your techniques are great.
The comic style is more funny but the sepia one is...I don't know, warmer?and more detailed. Your previous Nathan of "No Touching Guns" was amazing. I think you should draw in the technique you feel the most "yours". Your art work is such a joy to our eyes!

Mphillips, I love the sepia stuff. I think it works best with Firefly... somehow it follows the warm hues of the show. So far it's my favorite style that you do.

Your " No Touching Guns" is on my desktop ( I hope that is ok?) and IS it EVER getting noticed!

Great as usual. Looks a bit like smooth wax or plastic, I like that.

Oh, I adore this style! And the look of boyish glee on Jayne's face is spot-on.

A request, ifin you are still taking them: Simon's introduction to Mal from the Pilot. I always loved the fact that he guy I originally thought was going to be the villian of the piece(based on how he was dressed in this scene) turned out to be my favorite character of the series.

I like the comic book type styles better--I think they are more striking images. But these pictures are great too.
Maybe you should vary the style depending on what emotion you're trying to convey.
Also, I second the request for Simon's first moment. My favorite scene.

Freaking Awesome!!!! *luffs*

Request! (because I need it!) River, standing on the bars listening through the metalworks of serenity to the crew talking about her in Objects in Space... that image always makes me smile!

Keep up the awesome work!

the new technique has a more realistic feel to it - it's fabulous, and really shows off how well you capture the essence and expressions of the characters. i could see a comic book being done in either this style or your comic book style. can't believe this style takes faster. this style would be an excellent graphic novel style.

I agree with cheerybomb, doing all the styles, mixing them up would convey the feeling at that moment, especially if this technique was used in the lusher scenes like Inarah's shuttle, or the mushy gushy moments between the crew (Inarah/Mal, Wash/Zoe, ect) for the action the comic book style is very spot on, and if it's possible to combine the techniques... dear God, you should so be in the genre, you could teach the newer artists a thing or two. Great Jayne. "I'm just sayin', gold...." Fireflyfanforever.
