You've captured his expression so perfectly that I think I would have been able to guess what scene this was from even without the title! I can't express how much I love this sepia style. Thanks so much for sharing your talent!

Wow, another beautiful piece. This is Willowy, by the way, it won't let me sign in for some reason. Your Mal with a Gun is my current desktop!

MPhillips, can you send me your email? I can't seem to find it in your profile. Mine is TariJ@cableone.net.

Thanks!

Yep, there's talent a'plenty in there; no doubt about that, of course.

P.S. I got a small *giggle* out of the ladies' reactions here, going for Mal's eyes. I can't quite see it, but I see it oh-so-well when you do a River piece. :) Actually, what I noticed here was especially how well you did his mouth. Yep, it's really Mal alright.

The ladies always go for the eyes first.

Wonderful as usual.

I just wish I had half the the talent you have in your little pinky. All my stuff turns into stick figures with poofy hair. *L*

Keep it up!!! I love logging in and seeing what you have for me this week.

wow....beautiful! you really are great with faces. in fact, great doesn't really encompass your talent. can't quite find the word. but, really, amazing work. Love how you captured actual feeling in the eyes. So many artists do great faces and then can't put the soul into them, make them real, but you did. good work! the only thing i see that wasn't in complete likeness with mal was that his nose is a bit too wide i think, but other than that absolutley lovely and completely looks like him.
keep flyin'

Why is this person not working in some professional graphics house or for a comics company? This is some of the most talented work I've ever laid eyes on. mphillips, your talent is amazing and I don't understand how anyone would ever turn you down for a job in doing this kind of work but then I can't believe there are fools like the Fox execs that cancelled Firefly.
