amazing work again. i love this style, it reminds me of Will Eisner in a way. i think that was his name, anyhow. but he never drew Firefly pics, so is he really worth remembering, now that mphillips is here? i say no.

Ran into a snag with this one..Man, it's been a while since I used my brushes ...and took a bit to get the rust out..

wow, really loving your brushwork...

the bests ones always make it look easy ;p

I get the Eisner reference as well, mostly from the bold, confident linework I think

snags aside, it's still really well done. i especially like the console detail and the pipe in the upper right. nice shadows. i likes me some shadows.

Thanks for the comparison... but, jeeze, Eisner's a comic legend..Hence the Eisner awards...That guy forgot more about brushwork than 90% of todays comic artists will ever know...and don't get me started on storytelling ability..thanks again....

FANTRESS

once again, it's amazing work.
my one criticism is that you didn't quite capture River's face and her expression. her eyes don't seem like River's eyes.
BEAUTIFUL WORK otherwise =)

This is amazing and I can barely draw a stick figure, but for those of you who said River didn't quite look right my first thought is that her face looks more like Inara's than River's. I still love it though.

Okay, MP, I'm going to make my first request.

I'd like to see one in sepia of River -- specifically, the scene at the beginning of "Objects In Space" where she's tuning in on Wash and Zoe's playtime.

There's a certain neck-bob posture and expression in that scene that I think you could capture. I'm not sure anyone else could.

Oh... and that brings another one to mind. Have you done her folded-in-half pose as she bends down to examine the "branch" in the cargo hold? ("It's only an object... it's not what you think.")
