I'm planning to write a short story about the earth that was. I've just posted the first part:

Please give some feedback. If you like it then I'll continue the story. I have about two or three more parts planned, Exodus, which will be about how everyone leaves earth, The Void, which will be about the journey from the earth that was to the new worlds, and The Earth That Was, which will be about the earth that was after everyone has left.
