i lay down the gautlet to anyone who can design a crossover between serenity and Doctor who

it can be any doctor (my fave is Jon Pertwee)

and it doesnt have to stop there

the hands of blue vs torchwood

Blakes 7 time travels back in time the dark ages (spacewise) and meets the crew of serenity

COSMICFUGITIVE

I have been working on a Doctor Who/Firefly crossover for a while now, featuring the new Doctor (Tennant) and Rose Tyler.(Billie Piper.)

This is my first ever crossover fan fiction. I have an organic approach to writing, and it has been challenging and really fun to meld these two different shows together. The challenge was finding the right tone, and the great thing is that even Doctor Who can fit into the Firefly universe!

I have addressed the issue of no aliens in the Firefly verse in an interesting way, and it will be explained in the narrative.

I hope to get the first chapter out really soon.

So there actually are more people, besides myself, that like crossovers. I was getting tired of getting the hairy eyeball every time I brought up the subject.

Cos, I'd like to read that when you are done, not because I'm a Dr. Who fan, but because I've read your stuff before and it is well written.

I'll try and read yours too Jeraxus, but I'm afraid to say all I know about Torchwood, is the name.

I just read Starship Browncoats by Alliethorn7, a Starship Troopers/Firefly fic. Nice stuff.

I have had an idea for a crossover for years incorporating a bit from a lot of different 'verses. I'll try to put it on paper to see how it looks. My main concern is the "believability" or "feasability" of it. I don't wnat it to read as a throw together.

Here's a teaser. I'm trying to work together the 3 BSG franchises. TOS, Videogame and Re-imaged. Make a connecting story arc. Essentially the Videogame took place first, then TOS, then Re-imaged. So the 'old Galactica' will be the stage in the current timeline but with some interesting additions as crew (IE. Mal and crew).

I'll warn you now, I may start this and never finish it.

This is, quite possibily, the best crossover I've seen. HonorH has got the voices down for all the characters. The only problem is that it's a work in progress so she's posting parts as she goes and they're not being posted fast enough.

By the way, I'm waiting on the edge of my seat for this. And somehow writing a crossover fic of my own. It doesn't seem to have a plot, but the storyline's alright, and it's ten pages in MS Word even without the temporary excisement of something so I can move it. Once I write the rest of the important bits, anyway.

Check out a site called fanfiction.net - there is a whole section devoted purely to crossover fics. Some of them are pretty darn strange.

There was a crossover competition in the BSR last year, so check the archives. (I started a little something for it, and am finally knocking it into shape for posting. The usual three chapters becoming twenty thing...)

Torchwood and Firefly? Captain Jack and Cap'n Tightpants? Written well, that could be very funny. Especially if Jack makes his usual attempt to seduce anything with a pulse. I'll keep an eye out.
