Just to let everyone know I have gotten together with Hells Kitten in a joint venture and will be offering her very shiny Jayne Replica shirts- also have the Fighting Elves Ready to go- please see www.bluesunshirts.com and go to the new section for full color shirt pre-orders- we are trying to determine how many of each to print prior to firing up the press...... :)

I'd likely order one of these in a heartbeat, but, if I may ask. . .what's with the light-blue color on the Fighting Elves shirt?

Yay yay yay! I'm glad HK and Alex got together for this. The Blue Sun shirts on the website are of a very high quality, so I'm glad we're going to get the same service for the new shirts. Kudos, guys!

The light blue is for graphic "convenience" when the shirts are printed the ink will be dark Navy- might go ahead and change that on the JPG so there won't be any furthur confusion on that......

I will post links at the other Firefly/Serenity boards to get others interested.

I have a question, are those baby doll T's belly shirts like in the picture, or are they actual baby doll T's that, you know, fit?

Ciella,

Those shirts are belly-exposing for the most part- the model was long waisted though- they are "Baby Doll" as per the manufacturer: Anvil- they are form fitting and really stretchy- let me know if I have answered your question, and if I can get you any additional information on them.....

Sincerely,

Shiny!!!

Put in my pre-order. Had one question, though: is there a list of shirt colors styles that are available? (Did I miss it? ) I'm especially looking for colors/styles close to those from the show...

Thanks, guys - it's greatly appreciated!

Rabit,
The khaki is as close to the blue sun shirt from Jayne's wardrobe as is possible- might need to wash it a bunch to get an exact match. For the fighting elves, I am going to run some with "Texas burnt orange" should be really close, other choice is called "cedar" which is a bit more red- just in case the dark orange is just a little bit off- the black shirts are just variants that look good and are really popular.......
As far as the pre-ordering goes though- you can request any color that you want,I can e-mail you a color chart if need be, and any garment for that matter- even tote bags- I will get back to everyone about the pricing if they want a sweatshirt or long sleeve T for example, they will be just a few dollars more than the short sleeve T's.

The khaki and burnt orange work for me.

You mention washing a lot - how do the images hold up under that? (Most of the shirts I've been getting, well... don't )

Thanks!

The Blue sun images are printed onto the heaviest weight, best quality (6.1oz vs 5.4oz) shirts that are available. The shirts will hold up just about forever, I have one non-Blue Sun Gildan shirt that is about 9 years old, and gets worn and washed regularly. If you want to preserve the image in pristine condition, then wash and dry it inside out to protect the image from rubbing on the surfaces of the machines. As for the printing, for the Blue Sun I multiple pass print the image on there to push the ink deeply into/through all the fiber layers of the fabric- it takes longer and uses more ink, but the only way that the image will go away is if the shirt finally wears down to bare skin. The full color shirts will receive the same treatment with the white underbase that must go down on a colored shirt before printing the colors over, so the same condition will apply-
All of the shirts come with an unconditional warrantee on quality of workmanship and materials so if you ever do somehow manage to wear one out I will send you a new one- :)

I'm sold!

Once you have HK's final images up there, I'll go back and indicate my interest in those. And once they're for sale, I'm buying a bunch.

And a hat. I just lost all my hair, so it's time to cover my head with Blue Sun...

Many thanks, Alex (and Hell's Kitten, too)!

okay, is it possible to get baby doll Ts that are longer than navel length? I mean, it's winter, and we need those kidneys to be kept warm. A baby doll tshirt to me, is *fitted* not *cropped* which is something else entirely.

Hanes Silver for Her make a good fitted women's T.

Is it possible to post precise measurements of the Tshirts, ie length, width etc for each size? That way those of us who are wondering will REALLY know if it's going to be suitable or not.

Cheers, and sorry for being so picky.

Hey Suze,

I can and will print those designs on anything that you want- I can find some longer stretchy shirts for you- there are many styles- wide banded, spagetti strap, short sleeves, long sleeves, anything- I will just charge the extra for the cost of the shirt over the T-shirt- if you have anything in particular just let me know- or describe it to me exactly, and I will get it for you........ :)

Yeah, and it's entirely my fault that Alex doesn't have any of the other (Jayne) shirts I worked on. My life has been... life-full... for lack of any intelligent words, so I've delayed getting him the graphics he needs. Sorry. I hope to resume my efforts as soon as my brain thing kicks in. I hope I left that vague and ambiguous enough.

This sounds great to me too! I sent an email to you at Blue Sun Shirts on this subject - I found several shirts I like at 4logowearables and would love to order a shirt or two. Can you print any of the designs, or just the Fighting Elves and the ones that are shown as in print right now?

Thanks!

I can/will do that for the blue sun shirts because it is a single color and can set up quickly, also, we print them regularly in small batches as needed- the full color designs take a lot of time to set up because of color registration, for a while, I had the ordering open for specials, (pre-printing) and made some long sleeve and different colors, but the current supply of elves has already been printed in both orange and in black short sleeve- the hands of blue has not been printed yet, so I can do that one in whatever you might want, or if you just want to wait I can take an order for elves in whatever garment you might want, and print it when we get to re-printing, just can't say when that will be exactly.... contact me through the bluesunshirts site if you would like to make a special order........

Got the shirts, they are AWESOME!!

I picked up a couple of them for my husband's birthday and after he broke out of being speechless (for the first time in ten years), he said it was the best present he's had since his ninth birthday!

The quality is top notch... nice, heavy shirts and crisp, professional screen-printing! very well done!

Is there anyway i can get the same type of shirt (Khaki 'Blue Sun' T-Shirts ) but with no sleeves, Just like the one Jayne wheres in the picture at the top of BlueSunShirts.com. I like the kinda faded look to the BlueSun logo on Jayne's Shirt (like its been worn a bit), I dont like the reflecitve look to it. It doesnt jump out at you as much. Is there anyway you could get the shirts more similiar to that one, Like a Khaki Sleevless 'Blue Sun' T-Shirt (like the one in the picture, just newer). If you could I would definitly buy it. I think a more similiar replaca would be cool.

I know that on their page under limited edition shirts it says something like 'next printing May 1st'. I have to think this means they are still in business. I do hope so as I really want one of those blue hands shirts. As far as receiving no confirmation e-mail I think there was another thread about this same issue. Maybe they aren't big on sending responses.

As far as I can tell he doesn't send any kind of email confirmation of your order and you can expect it to take at least a month before you have any chance of seeing your shirts. Email responses seem to be spotty at best - my advice is if you don't have your shirts after 30 days, file a complaint with PayPal and be sure to specify non-delivery as the reason.

The first time I ordered, I thought the poor service was just a fluke. The shirts were nice (despite one being the wrong size) so I ordered a couple more - been four weeks now and nothing...

I ordered a Slim's Used Spacecraft Sales shirt, got no e-mail confirmation, but the shirt arrived in a timely manner (around 10 days delivery time, not bad) and it's a great shirt. Alex, may I make two suggestions? - One, that you put contact information on your website so that people can e-mail you? and two, that you print giant bluesunshirts.com symbols on your shipping envelope? - I think the former will help with buyer confidence and the latter with repeat sales.

There have been several complaints about the lack of communication which is totally understandable. When I ordered there was no confirmation nor any kind of message as to how long before I could expect to receive my shirt. I ordered just before the May 1st reprinting deadline for the Hands of Blue shirt and received it on May 13th. Not too bad but a little communication would have been nice. The shirt is pretty damn nice BTW. The only advice I can give to you is wait until the end of the week. If you haven't received your shirt by then, you would be well within you rights to raise some hell.

I ordered 3 shirts on May 15th and still haven't received them, and its now June 8th. I wrote an email to Alex asking what was going on, and he said that he would look it up and get back to me. That was on June 3rd and still no word back from him concerning when I should expect them.

I am starting to get frustrated at the late delivery and the lack of communication. I was thinking about buying some more but now I'm not sure if thats going to happen.
