I am considering, if I have the time, importing some of the Firefly shooting scripts found on the web into Final Draft 6, converting them into standard screenplay format (correct font, sytling guidelines, etc), and printing them as PDF files. Right now, I'm doing just that for "Dead or Alive." Is there any interest in me somehow posting the episodes this way. Or will I just end up doing it for myself?

I'd definitely like to see them. To have them all in the same place, in the same format, in the same file type, would make it much easier for those of us interested in how the written word can be translated to live action to compare the scripts to the eps.

Ooh, I'd definately be keen to see that!

If you do have the time, of course.

No pressure.

I'm definitely a definite on that! :-)

Is Final Draft a standard Hollywood big screen script style? TV or film?

Wonder if it's available for the Mac?

Thnx

Final Draft is a professional Hollywood screenwriting program, but it is not a format per say (yes there is a .fdr format - or something like that - but that's not what I mean). The format for a film or TV screenplay is kind of like a style guide. Final Draft just follows all the rules for you. A pretty definative style guide for film and TV screenplays can be found here: http://www.oscars.org/nicholl/format.html

Good idea. I thought about copying all my scripts / outlines / drafts / etc. to PDF format, but I've just been too... lazy... to bring them all to work and copy them. So far I've only done the "Blue Sun Rising" outline. Heh, only 58 to go.... One day! One day I will do it. Maybe. ANYhow, before I continue rambling inanely, I'll stop. I'm not sure why I'm posting this. Good idea. Yeah, that was it: Good idea!

I'd be happy to host them for you. I'll design a simple page for them, so you can give out one link for fans to find the scripts. You can email me at thedeltafactor at gmail dot com if you're interested.

Let me know if you need a place to host your page or any help designing it (it's what I do for a living). I'd really like to see a nice set of scripts made available.

I'm fooling around with Dreamweaver MX 2004 right now. I found a nice free template to use online and I'm adapting it to my purpose. It's a good way for me to learn the program without doing all the work.

You can also post it here. And I do have all the scripts in HTML format, which I haven't had the time to convert and post the site. It's just one of those projects that I have that I never quite got around to finishing because of the heavy workload I have in real life.

Well I have the site up and the first screenplay "Dead or Alive" is there in the Downloads section. Please e-mail me at be221b at gmail dot com and tell me what you think - or if there are any typos or errors. Enjoy.

I haven't been able to update it in a week or two. But as soon as my coursework cools off (Political Science 111 - Ugh) I'll post more scripts.

They look good, im sure they'll come in handy at some point.

Small suggestion, maybe you'd like to order the episodes in the original intended order? As I said, just a suggestion.

I tried to access the site and it told me it was FORBIDDEN...did I do something wrong? Do I need a special password? Would love to read the scripts!!!
