Hey there all,

Am I the only one who's managed to get his hands on Titan's new book? I got it last night at my local Borders, and figured I'd find some chatter about it here on FFF.net...no joy...

For those who haven't found it yet, it's gorgeous! Shooting scripts for Serenity, The Train Job, Bushwacked, Shindig, Safe, and Our Mrs. Reynolds. That'sa nice an' shiny, but what's even better are all the prop photos (various weapons, Inara's Companion papers, Serenity's ship's papers, Shepard Book's ident, bunches of badges and costumes, etc., etc...). All in all, a well-done little package that has me drooling for Vol. 2...

Any other comments???

I have this book. I collect visual companions I really do, this is one of the best. I especially like the photos of Reavers. It is so hard to see how creepy they really are in the film when you cannot see them for more than a second. Seriously, if they were there for more, it coulda been rated R. Oh, and the fact that in the companion it states that should it contiue, Wash will be there.

Much happiness.

Edit: WAIT A MINUTE!! Did you say FIREFLY visual compaion or SERENITY?? Holy halibut! I need to get to my local Borders!!! WTF, how come I never knew? Thank you ever so much!

I just this minute got mine from Amazon (well, from the postman)
and it is awesome! Really a collector's item,
all kinds of goodies in it!
I am THRILLED!
I didn't really believe they had saved enough background stuff to make this worth while, but clearly I was wrong...this is wonderful, and I'll be buying all of them

You are not the only one. I ordered mine online through Barnes and Noble, and devoured it when it arrived. Very shiny articles, pictures, and running scripts for the series. A highly-recommended addition to any Browncoat library!

Got mine Friday from Amazon. It's really shiny and...Shiny. Very slick production. Lots of great pictures. Scripts are nice to have in hard copy, but my favorite part is the little sidebars with comments by many folks involved in the show. It is well worth the price. I wondered why two volumes, but now I think it is worth the split, and the wait, in the interest of quality.

Mine came through the mail Friday. Blew thru all of the interviews, sidebars & photos in a couple of hours. Have read most of the scripts by now. All good stuff.
Oh, btw, photos of the Browncoat patches on page 15 should clear up, once and for all, the debate on their correct orientation. Splendid vindication.

Now I am learning about scary.

I just got mine from Amazon today. It's fantastic! I'm really impressed with the overall quality. Excellent stuff! I've only browsed through it so far, but there's lots to see and drool over.

Now I'm really looking forward to volume 2!

I went and purchased mine on Friday. I find it hard to stop reading. I enjoy the scripts more than i thought I would. Interesting stuff. A little depressed. Everyone interviewed talks about the show in the past tense. No hopefulness about future efforts. Maybe thats on purpose, but they all seem to talk way in the past tense about the show and the movie. Argh.

I'm right with you on this one. The whole production team did an all round great job. Writing, graphics, layout, editing. Roll on round number 2.

Where in the book does it say Wash will return if there is another season.

Yeah, I've had mine a while. I had a thread on here somewhere and I was asking why the Firefly Visual Companion isn't listed on the home page along with the other stuff you can buy that is Firefly related. No one answered. If it were there, more people would know about it. Volume 2 comes out this Spring! It will have the remaining scripts as well as a breakdown of Vera, among many other cool things!

It actually hints that in the Serenity Visual Companion. It's on page 36. It's not in the show compantion book.
