A Dr. from Kenya, versed in 4 separate languages, yet he decided to spend what was the last of his retirement teaching idiots like me how to work with machines....

I know I made him proud. He actually asked if he could use my "intellectual property" (study notes) to help his future classes....

Some idiots in my class gave him shit for his language barrier, but I spoke near-english fluently and shut down the idiots quickly because I was here to learn, not to watch some idiot American bully make fun of somebody that was 100 IQ points higher, but struggled to speak without an accent.

I won't pretend to know the "real" him. I didn't. Maybe I'm far off when I say that this would have been one of his parting songs for all of us.

Yes, that is Stevie Wonder, and yes, that is Elton John..... Best Friends Forever. I'm 36 this week and never would have known who Dionne Warwick was if Stevie and Elton didn't let their best friend have this one :)

You don't even know it, but the world is a shittier place without Dr. Charles, of Kenya, teaching us idiots stateside how to at least compete and keep decent paying jobs with his knowledge.

He died sudden, and I hope it was painless. Most of my grandparents and uncles and aunts had no less than 3 weeks of agonizing pain accompanied with their deaths.

He was the first man I've talked to in about 15 years that made me think that I could actually do something worthwhile with my brain. I already miss him.

That's what friends are for.

I love you Dr. Charles..

Know that you did a lot of good before you passed, Brother :)

it was hard to forget Dr. Charles. i can hardly blame her...

in the mean time, any women here objecting with "women empowerment" bs are just not sexy at all and can't compete and should just shut up.
