Yeah, police excesses are Obama's fault, and cops getting shot when there were already shots fired.

Your ODS is out of control. Kudos, though, on your newfound bravery in asserting your deep racism!

I credit Trump for making open bigotry "cool" again. You no longer have to hide it.

This mess was going on LONG before Trump threw his hat in the ring, when the 2 NYC police officers were killed before Christmas 2014 Trump was a reality show host. You and your ilk are doing everything you can to make sure Barry, Sharpton and the terrorists at #blacklivesmatter are not connected to any of this. And FYI, you and your ilk are beginning to look foolish trying to connect Trump to this mess.

How do you know he's a racist!? You belong on MSNBC spitting the same old lefty talking points. The people spewing hate are people like you and the lefties using things like this to blame the people and groups they hate. You and yours have no shame.

White House responds to petition to label Black Lives Matter a "terror" group
http://www.cbsnews.com/news/white-house-responds-to-petition-to-label-
black-lives-matter-a-terror-group
/
After days of violence and heightened racial tensions in the U.S., the White House responded this week to an online petition asking the federal government to formally label the Black Lives Matter movement as a "terror group."

"Terrorism is defined as 'the use of violence and intimidation in pursuit of political aims,'" read the "We The People" petition, created July 6 on the White House website. "This definition is the same definition used to declare ISIS and other groups, as terrorist organizations."

Black Lives Matter, the petition said, "earned this title due to its actions in Ferguson, Baltimore, and even at a Bernie Sanders rally, as well as all over the United States and Canada." It asked the Pentagon to recognize the group as such "on the grounds of principle, integrity, morality, and safety."

Because the online document received at least 100,000 signatures -- at the time of this reporting, it had garnered over 141,000 names -- the White House was automatically prompted to respond.

The "We the People" team noted that "The White House plays no role in designating domestic terror organizations," nor does the U.S. government "generate a list of domestic terror organizations."

I'm going to start #female lives matter.

Well, I would if DID viral social media.

Just something I read today...

There are on average nearly 11 murder-suicides a week in America.

•Of the murder-suicides that involved an intimate partner, 93 percent were females killed by their intimate partners. Among the incidents where females were killed by intimate partners, 94 percent involved a gun.

•Most of the murder-suicide victims were women. Of the 332 homicide victims, 252 (76 percent) were female.

I think advocating #NO GUNS FOR THOSE CONVICTED OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE would be a good way to spend your time.

Now you can go back to squabbling over racial issues that more than likely don't even affect most of us personally. If you are black and it affects you, I apologize.

I agree with you that Women's Lives Matter, but I think you may be missing the point of BLM. It seems to me that the BLM movement is something that does affect us all, because it represents each of our individual experiences as human beings worthy of existence.

Those stats you presented does not surprise me so much as it depicts something that I knew about ever since I was a kid. The violence against women, even to the point that women support and perpetuate it against other women. I've seen this with my own eyes and experienced it in my life. It doesn't make it right and it doesn't remove it from my experience.

I am not black, so I don't have that experience. But it still affects me, both indirectly and directly. Just as, I am not a woman, but my life has been affected,
both directly and indirectly. I had a mom and she gave me much more than life.

I agree, no guns for the scumbags that commit violence against women and kids. It is an important thing no matter what we believe or think about it. Race relations, no matter what you may think or believe, affect all of us both directly and indirectly. The BLM movement, as you correctly put it, is an experience that directly, and mostly, affects those of us humans that are black.

But think of it this way. If people summarily dismiss the Black Lives Matter, do you think the WLM movement will be trampled on? Now, mind you, ALL women's lives.
It's not as though they are saying that ONLY Black Lives Matter, this is their
experience. Just like women will say, I am important and I matter. Does that mean the rest of us should take umbrage and say; No we ALL matter!?

By far, the largest issue that feeds the misconceptions is ignorance. I don’t mean that in a disparaging manner. I mean it in the truest sense of the word. It’s an absolute lack of knowledge. The Black Lives Matter Movement was created in response to the repetitive police killings of unarmed black men and subsequent impotent punishment for the crime, but police brutality is not the chief focus of the movement. The main focus is institutionalized racism—the engine that encourages and enables police brutality against black men. This is why the All Lives Matter Movement, one aimed to address police brutality and law enforcement abuse of power in general, will never supersede the Black Lives Matter Movement.

The issues are so much deeper than just the institution of law enforcement. It’s deeply embedded in our criminal laws and law making, which precipitate bias in our judicial system. So when people attempt to conflate the issues by saying all lives matter, it acts as a passive-aggressive euphemism to say “screw black lives,” or when people like former New York mayor Rudolph Giuliani attempts to insult your intelligence by presenting you with false equivalents comparing Gala apples to Navel oranges. As a fail safe defense mechanism, they insist on equating black-on-black crime to a crime perpetrated by a white cop against a black citizen. Many fall for the bait-and-switch tactic to shift the narrative from institutionalized racism and police brutality to black-on-black crime. But the two will never be equal. Therefore the response and outrage will never be the same.

Believe it or not, my mother is married to a black man. Believe it or not, he's an ex-cop. Hated being a cop because he saw the things his own race does. Super nice guy. Hard worker. But then, he has two brain cells to rub together.

When the majority of black men start acting like their own lives matter, maybe people and law enforcement will take them seriously. I'm truly sorry for the few good black people that get caught in a corrupt system, but many of them do deserve what they get. Violence begets violence, and the stats for being a violent offender in this country if you are a black male are an overwhelmingly negative indictment. Murder and robbery rates are the same across the spectrum, but there is about 1/6 the amount of black males. (far more likely to be raped by a white male, btw) It's probably much easier for them to blame the police for the whole problem than to blame their own culture.

I'd love for everyone to get along, but pretending that is possible is delusional. Some lives really AREN'T going to matter. Sad truth.

That would be awesome. Judging by things I have read on the internet, it would not happen because so many men blame women for "being annoying" and for "wanting their money" as being the causatives for the things that they do.
Maybe #Taking Responsibility For Your Own Stupid Actions is the best place to start?

Isn't that already a law? Wasn't it passed under Perpetrator-in-Chief Slick Willie? The Lautenberg Law?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domestic_Violence_Offender_Gun_Ban

It featured retroactive-application, so that honorable Armed Services persons who had previously plead to a lesser charge like this became unable to carry and thus discharged from service.

Well, that's horrible news, as it appears to be the most useless law ever.
I was in high school at the time, so it explains why I've never heard of it, and I've seen a dozen law shows.

So, all that's left is fiddling my thumbs then? Why bother to have laws if you can't enforce them and they don't do anything? I'll go back to binging on Netflix... I guess. We're midway through the week so like... five families down. Oh well.

The purpose of it was to remove guns from the hands of law-abiding citizens who knew how to use them, not to infringe upon liberal criminals with excellent liberal lawyers. So, if fact, it did serve it's purpose.

Imagine the hypocrisy of a government who will allow businesses to card people to get a job or buy groceries, but won't card people to vote in elections and gives millions of non-citizens free money from taxpayers.
