Quote:Originally posted by JAYNEZTOWN: White House responds to petition to label Black Lives Matter a "terror" group http://www.cbsnews.com/news/white-house-responds-to-petition-to-label-black-lives-matter-a-terror-group/ After days of violence and heightened racial tensions in the U.S., the White House responded this week to an online petition asking the federal government to formally label the Black Lives Matter movement as a "terror group." "Terrorism is defined as 'the use of violence and intimidation in pursuit of political aims,'" read the "We The People" petition, created July 6 on the White House website. "This definition is the same definition used to declare ISIS and other groups, as terrorist organizations." Black Lives Matter, the petition said, "earned this title due to its actions in Ferguson, Baltimore, and even at a Bernie Sanders rally, as well as all over the United States and Canada." It asked the Pentagon to recognize the group as such "on the grounds of principle, integrity, morality, and safety." Because the online document received at least 100,000 signatures -- at the time of this reporting, it had garnered over 141,000 names -- the White House was automatically prompted to respond. The "We the People" team noted that "The White House plays no role in designating domestic terror organizations," nor does the U.S. government "generate a list of domestic terror organizations." This mess was going on LONG before Trump threw his hat in the ring, when the 2 NYC police officers were killed before Christmas 2014 Trump was a reality show host. You and your ilk are doing everything you can to make sure Barry, Sharpton and the terrorists at #blacklivesmatter are not connected to any of this. And FYI, you and your ilk are beginning to look foolish trying to connect Trump to this mess.

Quote:Originally posted by Wishimay: I'm going to start #female lives matter. Well, I would if DID viral social media. Just something I read today... There are on average nearly 11 murder-suicides a week in America. •Of the murder-suicides that involved an intimate partner, 93 percent were females killed by their intimate partners. Among the incidents where females were killed by intimate partners, 94 percent involved a gun. •Most of the murder-suicide victims were women. Of the 332 homicide victims, 252 (76 percent) were female. I think advocating #NO GUNS FOR THOSE CONVICTED OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE would be a good way to spend your time. Now you can go back to squabbling over racial issues that more than likely don't even affect most of us personally. If you are black and it affects you, I apologize.

WE keep pointing out your obvious racism, yet you constantly deny and try to divert by proclaiming others to exhibit the racism which you embody. So, yes, you are still the racist.

Quote:Originally posted by SHINYGOODGUY: The Black Lives Matter Movement was created in response to the repetitive police killings of unarmed black men and subsequent impotent punishment for the crime, but police brutality is not the chief focus of the movement. The main focus is institutionalized racism—the engine that encourages and enables police brutality against black men. This is why the All Lives Matter Movement, one aimed to address police brutality and law enforcement abuse of power in general, will never supersede the Black Lives Matter Movement. The issues are so much deeper than just the institution of law enforcement. It’s deeply embedded in our criminal laws and law making, which precipitate bias in our judicial system. So when people attempt to conflate the issues by saying all lives matter, it acts as a passive-aggressive euphemism to say “screw black lives,” ...

Well, that's horrible news, as it appears to be the most useless law ever. I was in high school at the time, so it explains why I've never heard of it, and I've seen a dozen law shows. So, all that's left is fiddling my thumbs then? Why bother to have laws if you can't enforce them and they don't do anything? I'll go back to binging on Netflix... I guess. We're midway through the week so like... five families down. Oh well.

The purpose of it was to remove guns from the hands of law-abiding citizens who knew how to use them, not to infringe upon liberal criminals with excellent liberal lawyers. So, if fact, it did serve it's purpose.
