Goodbye, kind world (George Monbiot) - In common with all those generations which have contemplated catastrophe, we appear to be incapable of understanding what confronts us.

He completely denied the economic plight of many of the Trump voters and suggested they were all deplorable. The guy is an elitist and very far left. He is of the same cut as those who coined the term white privilege, when for every other culture it is described as cultural privilege. As though taking pride in self, culture and showing favoritism only exists within the white culture. He goes on to suggest the Trump voter lives in their own false reality and completely dismisses their concerns. G it is these beliefs ( denial and ignorance ) that exist within the elitist media and our politician’s that has brought us to this point. All one must do is look at all that has been lost by so many in this country. Start with the loss of the American workers right to bargain ( forty years of wage stagnation ). Then add the outsourcing of our textiles and manufacturing ( community after community wiped out ). He has shown he is without empathy for these people. Clinton better get a better understanding of the Trump and Sanders voter than Mahrer has, or her legacy as president is going to be one term and out. Maybe I'm getting more grumpy and less patient as I age, but I'm less than empathetic with people who are in tough times and who also seem bent on making them worse by listening to Trump. Caveat Emptor. I see some women in my state defending him - when asked about groping women they literally laughed and said, "That's what rich people do!" I have no empathy for that.
