He's not thinking very far ahead is he?

Trumps problem is that he doesn't think at all.

Not having your head protected when put inside a police car is hardly police brutality. Being arrested for having an open beer outside a club, being cuffed in the back seat, and then getting punched in the face because you asked what the charge was might be considered police brutality. But it wasn't 40 years ago when that actually happened to me. Oh well, we didn't know from suing in those days.

Trump openly supports cops and firemen. At least, he speaks well of them in public, which runs counter to what the prior President did. Giving 1st responders praise and not chiding them or admonishing their motives , as Obama did, makes Trump very popular in those communities.

This is the real problem I have with the left and the MSM today.

6 months of Trump and in general I'm not overall displeased with how things are going. That being said there are some real problems with some things that he has done that we could be discussing. Instead we get posts like this, constantly.

This is irresponsible reporting and cherry-picking to frame a narrative.

He's not telling cops to bash people's heads in the door every chance they get. What he is saying is that the cops well being is more important than worrying about a criminal's head in a situation where they're acting like an animal and resisting being put in the car.

I'm an advocate of cops having to wear cameras at all times, and laws being put in place that disallow them to ever turn them off or to be able to claim "technical difficulty" in circumstances where they actually did abuse people.

Cops should be held accountable for their actions. They just shouldn't be expected to put their lives at further risk to avoid the wrath of the "feels" of the Left while they're doing their jobs.

Cameras, and iron-clad laws surrounding them are the answer.

Trump’s Wall from “Trump’s speech encouraging police to be ‘rough,’ annotated”

So we’re going to secure our borders against illegal entry, and we will build the WALL. That I can tell you. (Applause.)

In fact, last night — you don’t read about this too much, but it was approved — $1.6 billion for the phase one of the WALL, which is not only design but the start of construction over a period of about two years, but the start of construction for a great border WALL. And we’re going to build it. The WALL is a vital, and vital as a tool, for ending the humanitarian disaster brought — and really brought on by drug smugglers and new words that we haven’t heard too much of — human traffickers.

This is a term that’s been going on from the beginning of time, and they say it’s worse now than it ever was. You go back a thousand years where you think of human trafficking, you go back 500 years, 200 years, 100 years. Human trafficking they say — think of it, but they do — human trafficking is worse now maybe than it’s ever been in the history of this world.

We need a WALL. We also need it, though, for the drugs, because the drugs aren’t going through WALLS very easily — especially the WALLS that I build. I’m a very good builder. You people know that better than most because you live in the area. That’s why I’m here. (Applause.) We’ll build a good WALL.

Now, we’re going to build a real WALL. We’re going to build a WALL that works, and it’s going to have a huge impact on the inflow of drugs coming across. The WALL is almost — that could be one of the main reasons you have to have it. It’s an additional tool to stop the inflow of drugs into our country.

Will Trump kill satire by naming his wall “The Great Wall of Freedom” — a huge wall, heavily armed and guarded between the USA and Mexico?

Awesome. Some middle ground.

Yeah. Trump should learn to tone it down a bit, especially on his Twitter feed. Because of social media he's under far more scruitny for anything he says and does that GWB ever was. Even the first half of Obama's presidency wouldn't have seen the near instant spread of opinion like you see today, and it's only going to get worse.

I know I could never handle being in any position of real power today and knowing how easily anything I say or do could be put under the microscope of public opinion in a moment's notice.

Just because that doesn't seem to bother Trump in the slightest doesn't mean that he shouldn't consider it. There is more at stake than the public opinion of him.

But yeah... The MSM really needs to tone it down too and stop trying to make something out of nothing constantly. It detracts from real news, and most people don't have very long attention spans these days, or the desire to separate the meaningful from the trivial.

I agree. Trump says things and then everyone on his staff has to defend the fact that he opened his Big Yapper and out falls the dumbest shit ever, something that you would hear in some KKK bar or at an NRA Gun Rally.

But, of course, he's playing to his base, so we get Trump the stupid motherfucker rather than the best president since Lincoln (do you believe the tiny marbles on this dumb prick). Yeah, he's presidential alright..........what a maroon!

As for the so-called MSM (you guys do know that Fox is a big part of the main stream media, right!?), they are definitely overreacting. As far as I'm concerned, they were a big part as to why we are calling this Big Orange Prick president. All the attention he received during the campaign season...they were only interested
because of ratings. Okay some of it had to do with how stupid he is, but that's no excuse - the MSM fucked up big time giving him coverage 24/7.

But in reality, what the president says, in a normal situation (which this is NOT), is watched more closely than Sophia Vergara's bustline. Still though the media has
overblown this idiot's shenanigans and now it's all we ever hear and see. I'm all Trumped out! I have actually stopped watching the coverage, especially now that my favorite baseball team is making a move....but I can't wait for football season.

Come on Mueller, hurry up and nail the son of a bitch already. Everyone knows he's dirtier than Sarah Palin's pantyhose, come on, it's okay we all know. Note to Don Jr.: not to worry, federal prison isn't so bad, you'll be ass-raped by a classier
type of criminal there. Better take soap on a rope so you don't have to bend over when you drop it. But really, Trump's.......narcissistic behavior........

Quote:

"Narcissistic personality disorder is a mental disorder in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance, a deep need for admiration and a lack of empathy for others. But behind this mask of ultraconfidence lies a fragile self-esteem that's vulnerable to the slightest criticism."

He can't help but say stupid things and feels that he's the most important person ever. Anyway, the media is only feeding the frenzy over this ridiculous man/boy.

I am stumped as to why you can't understand Trump was not only suggesting it was all right to bash their heads against the top of the door jam, but that they should. I am also stumped as to how anyone would not recognize that as being police brutality.

He's joking, but not. He's doing his best Monty Python impersonation.......

nudge, nudge...wink, wink!

Just like there are racist forms of non-verbal communication. He's giving permission to "tune up" some folk in custody, but claiming he's "just kidding"
you know (wink, wink).

But it's not police brutality. Of course, he didn't actually say it.

China detains relatives of U.S. reporters in apparent punishment for Xinjiang coverage

BEIJING — China’s security services have detained several close relatives of four U.S.-based reporters working for Radio Free Asia in an apparent attempt to intimidate or punish them for their coverage of the Muslim-majority Xinjiang region, the news organization said Wednesday
