Okay, not a big baseball fan here .... but hey, Dodgers are my home team and it's been a long time since they were in the World Series! I can tell every time they get in a run because fireworks go off in the neighborhood. Even as we were handing out our typical 40 bags of candy (and we get a LOT of trick-or-treaters in our neighborhood; the street north of us is like a regular Mardis Gras. It's literally, jam-packed with revelers, you literally can't drive down the street ... as I found out when I tried to make a mid-evening candy run! Heck, WE just get the overflow!) I could tell the progress of game six by the fireworks, and right about the time of game end, when a whole bunch of fireworks went off, I knew the Dodgers had tied up the series and would live to fight again tonight.

What a series! So hard-played by both teams!

Of course, I hope the Dodgers win, but both teams deserve a parade, no matter WHO wins!

I'm routing for the Astros, they beat the Yankees...I hate the Yankees. But if the Dodgers win I'll be fine with that, I really don't have a dog in this fight.

I too got quite a few trick or treaters, but I bought a lot more candy bars than I needed AND THEY'RE ALL MINE!! So many Kit Kat bars...so many

Oh, you're a Kit Kat fan too? Here, they were on sale for $2/ bag which is a pretty darn good sale!

Alas, there is no joy in Mudville tonight. I kind of kept an ear out for fireworks, and didn't hear any, which told me all I needed to know about how the Dodgers did. It was kind of a blowout, too - 5 to 1. I'll listen to Larry Mantle (NPR) tomorrow, I'm sure he or one of his guests will explain it all to me about what exactly went wrong.

But yanno, maybe Houston just got some well-deserved good karma. After the terrible floods, a first-time World Series victory probably feels pretty good about now. So CONGRATS to the winning team! They played their hearts out thru the series!

You don't need NPR to explain why they lost, I'll tell you now. Larry King was there looking creepy and brought them bad luck
