The last 17 years have been bad if all you do is pay attention to politics. Every single one of those years some people are freaking about about one thing or another. The only really funny thing about it is the "NO... BUT THIS TIME IT'S SERIOUS!!!" mentality of it all.

It was probably that way before 2000 too, but I was really too young and I didn't pay attention at all.


America is great. No other country has ever had it so good that their people could choose to spend their entire lives crying about how bad everything is. Nobody ever had that much free time before.


Sometimes I wish I was a dumb Football bro. The guys I've known that play fantasy football don't seem to ever go around thinking things are bad.

My 2006 self when I joined up here says glad to have you on board.

2017 me says good luck with your struggle. Most people just don't care. Many that do only care now because of their political ideology and I guarantee will not bother being a part of the movement even when nothing has changed other than their party gets re-elected. (How do I know? It's exactly what happened in 2008 right in these very forums.)



BTW... do a reply with quote to see how to OONJ properly uses the font color tag, how you misuse it, and what I need to do to fix it every time.

All I had to do was tell G one time that his signature didn't have a close tag for his italics and he fixed it.

Nope. I wasn't sure what color ff8705 was. I didn't think it was white, but it would have worked if it was. But putting an end font tag at the end of your signature would work.

I can't actually post it here for you to see on the forum since it would act as a tag. You can see it at the end of my last post.

Actually... I'll put it right after my signature in this post so you can see it right away if you do a quote.

Just replace -- font color="ff8705" -- with -- /font -- (minus the spaces and the dashes) between the brackets at the end of your signature and you're golden.

But of course, you use pointy brackets for the actual command.
This is red. "font color=ff0000"
This is green. "font color=00ff00"
This is blue. "font color=0000ff"
This is yellow. "font color=ffff00"

f = the highest digit/figit in hexadecimal: 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 a b c d e f
Since it takes 6 figits to define a color, you can make any color you want.

Eventho I know how to do this ... when I begin to make a new color,
I always have to mess with it a while before I get the shade I want.

Yeah, I knew it was a hex number, and I've done some minor graphical work in a hobby project of mine, but I never remember what the numbers mean because I don't use them often enough. I'm more familiar with how hex numbers are used in CRC values.

Actually, one of the forums I regularly post on has a lot of things the user can automatically do with their text at the top and one of them is adding colors from a map of about 30 different colors. All that clicking on these colors does is puts a font tag with the hex number at the beginning and an end font tag at the end of your highlighted text.

Is "white" just 000000? I know I could just google it, but i figured since we're talking about it I'd just ask ya.

If it is, then the post that T first had me try would also have fixed the issue if he had replaced his value with six zeros as well.



You're actually able to make a staggering 16,777,216 different colors just by altering those 6 digits. Each "pair" of digits is one of the primary colors, Red, Green and Blue. I can't remember what order they go in though. (Could be red-green-blue, might not be).

Black is the absence of all color.

White is a combination of all color.
