Did you see this video today of a Tampa man in Switzerland on a hang glider holding on for fear of falling to his death? Everywhere I looked I saw the video. If the media gets a picture of a woman and two children being teargassed or a video of a desperate man on a hang glider, the media will show the stories everywhere, or at least until something newer comes along tomorrow. The media WILL NOT COVER WHAT Signym WANTS FOR HER POLITICAL REASONS nor will it cover the thousands of hang glider flights, just the ones that end with a broken wrist and a cool X-ray showing screws into the radius bone.

NBC News Reporter Admits Migrant Caravan Predominantly Men

After a photo of a migrant woman sprinting away from a tear gas cannister with her two young children in tow went viral over the weekend, CNN, MSNBC and the rest of their mainstream media cohort swiftly condemned the Trump Administration for yet another brutal crackdown on harmless migrant families that are only trying to escape persecution and violence by seeking asylum in the US.

Of course, their reporting almost universally ignored an attack on border patrol agents in Arizona - the first incident of violence against US law enforcement by a member of the one of the migrant caravans heading toward the southern border from Honduras and Guatemala. They also ignored the fact - highlighted by Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen - that the majority of the migrants camping out in Tijuana as they await an opportunity to cross into the US are young men. But that the mainstream media ignored this is hardly surprising: After all, this fact doesn't fit with the narrative that the caravan is chiefly comprised of desperate single mothers and their children, who are simply trying to escape violence in their home countries.

And she said hundreds of convicted criminals including rapists and child abusers are known to be among the 'predominantly male' convoy of Central Americans who have set up camp in Tijuana, waiting to cross into California.

'It appears in some cases that the limited number of women and children in the caravan are being used by the organizers as “human shields” when they confront law enforcement,' Nielsen said in a statement posted on Facebook.

President Donald Trump claimed Monday evening in Mississippi that some of the adults trying to cross the border illegally aren't related to the children who accompany them. He called them 'grabbers.'

Nielsen also increased DHS's count of known convicts in the 'organized' caravan, saying: 'This is serious.'

'[A]t this point we have confirmed that there are over 600 convicted criminals traveling with the caravan flow,' she said. 'This includes individuals known to law enforcement for assault, battery, drug crimes, burglary, rape, child abuse and more.'

While many reporters immediately sought to discredit that count - after all, numbers released by the Trump administration can't be trusted, right? - one NBC reported traveled to Tijuana to try and verify it for himself.

And guess what he found?

That's right. NBC reporter Gadi Schwartz revealed in a tweet on Monday that there are more than three times as many men as there are women traveling with the caravan that's currently camped out near the US border.

The number is down to 10.7 million illegal aliens. It took Trump 2 years to deport about 300,000 illegal aliens. 1kiki and Signym should be outraged that it will take another 30 years at Trump's slow rate to deport them all.

We now have a full decade of decline following the peak year of 2007 (12.2 million). This is why Trump is so hellbent on inciting border clashes wherever he can. Without that, there’s just no way to keep his base convinced he will remove all the illegal aliens before he is dead from old age.

Personally, I want to see all those illegal aliens deported from Texas because it would destroy the workforce of Texas Republicans I know. Anyone who is serious about illegal immigration should support mandatory E-verify above all else. The wall doesn’t matter. Quotas don’t matter. Family separations are unnecessary. If E-verify were made (a) mandatory, (b) fast, (c) reliable, and (d) easily appealable, it would solve 90 percent of our immigration problems. If employers are unable to employ undocumented workers except at the risk of a serious fine, they would stop employing undocumented workers and undocumented workers would stop coming across the border. End of story.

I know that Republicans would oppose mandatory E-verification. They always have. You see, their donors like having lots of cheap labor, and that’s what truly motivates their inability to get anything done. They just don’t want to admit it.

So a M$M reporter said that. Hmmm kinda blows your whole theory out of the water about the M$M.

Also, I apologize - I missed the part where you showed you understood why that was so. Because men can make the long trip better than women, and make more money here if they get here? What was your answer - I missed it.

Here's another example of what you don't understand about MSM. In the short time slots they have they have to tell the story as quickly as possible - visuals have to read well and quickly. Sometimes it's not the whole story (often even) but bottom line, it has to be compelling and understandable. You say you saw images "of masses of young men breaking the wall and crawling through." What wall, which wall? I saw a lot of images of men scrambling and running around and I think the Mexican army or police (unsure) trying to hold them at bay, and smoke or tear gas. It was chaos to my eye - I couldn't tell if they were miles from the border or right there. So you have that visual calamity and chaos versus the single frozen image of the mother wearing a Disney t-shirt with 2 kids in diapers crying and tear gas in the background. Which one is going to hit people fastest? Which one is the Drama?
You may not like or agree with the MSM (I don't necessarily either) and you may not understand why they do what they do, but hoping it would be different doesn't change it. If instead you try to understand why they operate the way they do, from their perspective - that's a much better way to actually make sense of their actions as opposed to seeing the boogey man behind every image.
Ask yourself: What would they get from The Deep State if they're all just taking orders? It's not Russia! No one's going to get poisoned. Not yet anyway. Jim Acosta is close! And how would you get them all to follow? It would be a better Pulitzer sized scoop to report about The Deep State trying to rig the news. Sorry, toots, it's flawed, it's not always right, it needs to be better, but it's the best we've got and thank god we have them.

I hadn't really thought about it, but I guess Trolls might burrow, when not hiding under a bridge.
Now this Troll is really digging himself a deep hole.

MSM has "a small slice of time" to promulgate their Propaganda.
Ha. Really.
MSM has commandeered the airwaves 24/7 to sell their narrative, and Trolls call this "a small slot of time" as if they have the slightest clue.
Maybe this is the real reason MSM extinguished NEWS Departments and moved all reporter/anchor types into Entertainment divisions, so that neverending spew of Libtard Lies from Dan Blather, Oprah, Fake Tapper, Nora, Savannah, and other vacuous bimbos will be indistinguishable.
This strategy seems to have fooled the low-information voter, like these Trolls.

Quote:

Nearly Two Thirds of Non-Citizen Households on Welfare

Another day, another revelation as the great fleecing of the U.S. taxpayer continues unabated. A Center for Immigration Studies review* of U.S. Census Bureau data reveals a stunning 63% of households in the U.S. headed by non-citizens are on some form of welfare. That’s just shy of two out of every three proving to be a burden to the American people. So much for the lie that massive immigration enriches our nation.
Dead Weight

The information CIS uncovered is infuriating in a number of ways. The 63% figure is almost twice the rate of native-headed American households that use welfare, which is a disturbingly high 35% as it is. But non-citizen households (45%) also utilize food programs at a much higher rate than natives (21%), and disproportionately tap into Medicaid programs as well (50% vs. 23%).

This bodes ill for California!

Quote:

The most telling statistic in the review, however, is that welfare use rises among non-citizens the longer they are in our country.

“Of households headed by non-citizens in the United States for fewer than 10 years, 50 percent use one or more welfare programs; for those here more than 10 years, the rate is 70 percent,” CIS discovered.

Rather than serving as a temporary safety net, our welfare programs are proving to be a lifestyle staple for non-citizens sponging off the American taxpayer. Of course, many of these non-citizens do work, but they are low-skilled Hispanics from Central America laboring at poverty-level jobs. A 2015 CIS report found that 67% of households headed by immigrant farm workers are on public assistance of some form. Swollen-eyed Big Ag industrial farmers crying out about the need to find workers willing to do “the jobs Americans won’t do” are in fact having their cheap payrolls subsidized by the welfare programs of this nation.

Bitter Factors

At a time when native-born Americans are working long hours with less vacation time and fewer benefits, we are being forced to carry the millstone of foreign squatters on our backs. Massive immigration has led to overcrowded cities and towns, aggravating traffic congestion that leads to an even more draining daily commute for Americans just so we can we have the privilege of having our wages heavily taxed to financially support the very same invaders who are making our work day more exhausting. This is madness.

Immigrants also suppress wages, especially for low-skilled workers, so that 35% figure of natives utilizing some form of welfare may be so high in part due to the fact that the non-citizens abusing our welfare programs are also making it impossible for a portion of our citizen population to find decent-paying jobs. Thus non-native interlopers are increasing the welfare burden beyond just what they actively take for themselves.

The Trump administration’s Department of Homeland Security has released a draft proposal to prevent immigration by those who are likely to be a public burden on the American people. This new CIS report overwhelmingly confirms the urgent need for such a policy. Anyone opposing this sane safeguard through hollow accusations of “racism” or self-serving pleas for cheap labor is an enemy to the American working man and woman. And we will remember them for it.

63% of Non-Citizen Households Access Welfare Programs
Compared to 35% of native households

By Steven A. Camarota and Karen Zeigler on December 2, 2018
Steven A. Camarota is the director of research and Karen Zeigler is a demographer at the Center.

New "public charge" rules issued by the Trump administration expand the list of programs that are considered welfare, receipt of which may prevent a prospective immigrant from receiving lawful permanent residence (a green card). Analysis by the Center for Immigration Studies of the Census Bureau's Survey of Income and Program Participation (SIPP) shows welfare use by households headed by non-citizens is very high. The desire to reduce these rates among future immigrants is the primary justification for the rule change. Immigrant advocacy groups are right to worry that the high welfare use of non-citizens may impact the ability of some to receive green cards, though the actual impacts of the rules are unclear because they do not include all the benefits non-citizens receive on behalf of their children and many welfare programs are not included in the new rules. As welfare participation varies dramatically by education level, significantly reducing future welfare use rates would require public charge rules that take into consideration education levels and resulting income and likely welfare use.

Of non-citizens in Census Bureau data, roughly half are in the country illegally. Non-citizens also include long-term temporary visitors (e.g. guestworkers and foreign students) and permanent residents who have not naturalized (green card holders). Despite the fact that there are barriers designed to prevent welfare use for all of these non-citizen populations, the data shows that, overall, non-citizen households access the welfare system at high rates, often receiving benefits on behalf of U.S.-born children.

Including the welfare scams that my Chinese acquaintance was so livid about.

Quote:

Among the findings:

In 2014, 63 percent of households headed by a non-citizen reported that they used at least one welfare program, compared to 35 percent of native-headed households.
Welfare use drops to 58 percent for non-citizen households and 30 percent for native households if cash payments from the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) are not counted as welfare. EITC recipients pay no federal income tax. Like other welfare, the EITC is a means-tested, anti-poverty program, but unlike other programs one has to work to receive it.
Compared to native households, non-citizen households have much higher use of food programs (45 percent vs. 21 percent for natives) and Medicaid (50 percent vs. 23 percent for natives).
Including the EITC, 31 percent of non-citizen-headed households receive cash welfare, compared to 19 percent of native households. If the EITC is not included, then cash receipt by non-citizen households is slightly lower than natives (6 percent vs. 8 percent).
While most new legal immigrants (green card holders) are barred from most welfare programs, as are illegal immigrants and temporary visitors, these provisions have only a modest impact on non-citizen household use rates because:
1) most legal immigrants have been in the country long enough to qualify;
2) the bar does not apply to all programs, nor does it always apply to non-citizen children;
3) some states provide welfare to new immigrants on their own; and, most importantly,
4) non-citizens (including illegal immigrants) can receive benefits on behalf of their U.S.-born children who are awarded U.S. citizenship and full welfare eligibility at birth....

What is Trump doing about California? Why is it not a high priority of his enforcement efforts?

It is Trump’s duty to enforce immigration laws for employees AND employers, but he is not doing the employer part his duty. I am amazed that Trump voters in California do not get angry at Trump for that failure.

Obviously illegal immigrants are not the only ones breaking the law when it comes to their employment in the United States. Employers that use them (whether it be for cheaper labor, or any other purpose) are also likely breaking the law, especially if they know that they are employing someone without an authorization to live and work in the United States. The relevant legislation is the Immigration and Nationality Act, and in particular Section 274A that deals with "The Unlawful Employment of Aliens." If every single business in the U.S. complied with this law and refused to employ illegal immigrants, there likely would not be any illegal immigration into the country, as very few people willingly move to a place where they would have no income.

California would be the perfect place for Trump to easily carry out his duty because the illegal immigrant workers are concentrated in California. Why is Trump failing to perform his duty in California? How does he convince Trump voters not to be angry at him? The California governor can’t stop Trump, but Trump has stopped Trump from enthusiastically enforcing the law against employers of illegal aliens.

Nearly one in ten California workers is an undocumented immigrant. California’s labor force includes about 1.75 million undocumented immigrants. This is the second-highest statewide concentration of undocumented workers (9.0%) in the US after Nevada (10.4%). Undocumented immigrants work disproportionately in agriculture, construction, and manufacturing.

In 2014, the year of the most recent data available, California was home to between 2.35 and 2.6 million undocumented immigrants. Nearly a quarter of the nation’s undocumented immigrants reside in California, where they constitute more than 6% of the state’s population.

Sure you can!

California doesn't WANT Trump's "help". Hell, if I were Prezdent, I wouldn't help California either! I'd just let California stew in it's own politically-correct juices and watch it slowly go broke as it tries to "help" millions of illegal aliens who aren't adding to the tax base! Seriously. Stupid decisions should have consequences ... why should I expect Trump to save us from ourselves? Because we'd be so grateful?

If illegal immigration is such a boon for the economy (as you claim) then CA will be the living experiment. We will fall or rise based on our "reading" of reality, and other people can learn from our success or failure.

Priority 1: Keep them out now and in the future.

Priority 2: No more anchor babies.

Priority 3: End all financial support for non-citizens, including education and healthcare.

Priority 4: Enforce laws that already exist to ensure that they can't make any money under the table.

Priority 5: Won't even be necessary. There will be no reason to start kicking anybody out because they will willingly leave on their own when there is nothing for them here.

Signym, there is not a wall built around California that keeps Trump out. It is his responsibility to enforce the laws against illegal aliens everywhere. But if I take you seriously then, maybe, California is too tough for Trump because it is controlled by Democrats so he is concentrating enforcing laws that would keep illegal aliens from working in a Republican controlled state such as Texas. Except Trump is NOT. He is not doing a goddamn thing about the millions of Mexicans working in Texas, either. The man can't organize anything more effective than what Obama left behind. But Trump sure can brag about his imaginary achievements.

I actually want to see Trump start removing like 10% of the illegal aliens working in America during the next two years. At that rate Republican Presidents will get to the hard case of California in about 15 years when Trump and his successors have removed all those illegal aliens working in the other 49 states. By then his enforcement agency he guided during his Presidency should be a well running machine that can handle California. I am kidding. Trump is too lazy to make that happen.

Here is a reference to 10 million undocumented immigrants. Is there another category of Illegal Aliens?
For all of these who vote, which California encourages, they are Illegal Votes, which Trump has accurately pointed out.
And they all voted for Hilliary, Newsom, Beto.
When Trump ends Federal Funding to Sanctuary Cities, he will be starting to address the immigration problem. Until then, The Wall is another avenue to pursue.

If Trump won't deport illegal aliens faster, how is he any better than slow Obama?

Trump does not brag about how many long term resident illegal aliens he has removed from Texas. He does not even publish numbers, maybe because it would look bad that he sent more Troops to the Texas border than the number of long term residents he deported. But we can't know how many he deported because he won't publish the numbers nor will he publish his plan for removing the 11 million illegal aliens living in America. What is his plan? Does anyone have a plan? Where is it? When does it finish? How fast will it deport illegal aliens? Nobody knows because Trump hasn't given anybody any deadlines or threatened to fired them if he doesn't have a plan this year. Maybe next year Trump will actually get around to finally doing his job.

Houston, there's a problem: he can't figure out how to make any money off of deporting poor people back to poor countries. So what's his motivation? Building a wall - which is pretty well agreed to be completely ineffective - is something he could at least point to "I did that!" and see TRUMP spray painted every 100 yards on the side. (It will say some other things besides just TRUMP).

1kiki, click the links and you will see statistics that date back to Obama and non-existent Trump plans for removing aliens. Trump hasn't done a damn thing in two years. . . except run his mouth.

There are no plans coming in 2018 from the West Wing because Trump fired John Kelly, the Chief of Staff. Kelly'd be the guy rounding up people to write that plan. Nick Ayers, the leading candidate to replace John Kelly as President Donald Trump's chief of staff, will not be taking the job. That leaves nobody but Trump to organize people to write the plan. But organization is not a strong Trump characteristic. Maybe there will be a plan sometime in 2019, once a new Chief of Staff arrives. Maybe 2020. Maybe never will there be a plan from Trump to remove all 11 million illegal aliens. Maybe Trump is all talk and no do.

Because Trump cannot use Pentagon money to build the wall, Pelosi and Schumer aren't budging. They know he can't move money from, say, aircraft carriers to a Texas/Mexico wall. Maybe even Trump knows he can't. But who knows with that guy? Maybe he is running his mouth? Or maybe somebody told him something and he misunderstood what he can and can't do?

But whatever Trump thinks he is doing, he owes America a shutdown in Dec. of the Federal Government because he is not getting a Wall in 2018.

Trump threatens shutdown in wild encounter with Democrats.

Neither the public nor the private face-to-face portion of the meeting appeared to resolve the wall-funding dispute with a partial shutdown looming on Dec. 21. However, Pelosi said Trump called her later in the afternoon and told her the White House was looking at options she and Schumer had laid out.

Trump doesn’t want the wall. He wants a fight about the wall.

If Trump really wanted the wall he’d make a deal to get it.

What became clear in Tuesday’s Oval Office fiasco is that President Donald Trump doesn’t want the wall or a deal.

The difference between the $1.3 billion in wall funding Trump has and the $5 billion in wall funding Trump wants is $3.7 billion — peanuts in the context of the $4 trillion federal budget. There’s plenty Trump could offer House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer in return. Trump is, after all, the great dealmaker.

But Trump’s offer is, well, nothing. Rather than invite Pelosi and Schumer for a private negotiation, Trump asked them to the Oval Office for a public showdown in front of live cameras. “It’s called transparency,” Trump said. But it’s not transparency. It’s posturing.

This comes even clearer when you consider the wall’s true costs. The $5 billion in funding Trump is demanding isn’t actually enough to build the wall. Estimates of the total cost range from about $20 billion to $70 billion. Securing funding at either level would require a much bigger deal, with much more significant concessions from Trump.

But Trump isn’t offering a deal, and he isn’t constructing the kind of process where anyone might offer him a deal. Instead, he’s looking for a photo op. He’s looking for a clip of himself he can see played, and praised, on Fox & Friends.

Trump has a tendency to view his presidency as a reality television show where what’s important are storylines, confrontations, and plot twists. What he made yesterday was good television. But good television is about the fight, not the deal. The deal happens behind closed doors, it requires giving things up and seeing the other side’s perspective.

I have posted with just about every post related to immigration reform is that we HAVE to stop meddling in the politics and economies of our neighbors south of the border because it creates a moral responsibility for us to "solve" the problems that we created (or can be argued that we created).

This is one of the reasons why illegal immigrants really DO feel "entitled" to a share of the USA economy, and one of the unstated reasons that cause liberals to buy into a sense of guilt. (But rather than SOLVING the problem, they want to "help the poor" that they themselves created.)

If you want to see evidence of this ...

Central American Migrants Demand Trump Pay $50K Each To Go Home

Two groups of Central American migrants delivered a list of demands to the US Consulate in Tijuana in Tuesday, with one group demanding to be let into the United States, or be paid $50,000 each to go home, according to the San Diego Union Tribune.
A group of about 50 migrants walked from the Mexico Immigration office to the U.S. Consulate office to deliver a letter asking U.S. officials to speed up the asylum process.

The first group demanding action, numbering about 100, arrived at the U.S. Consulate at about 11 am Tuesday. The migrants said they were asking that the Trump Administration pay them $50,000 each or allow them into the U.S.
When asked how the group came up with the $50,000 figure, organizer Alfonso Guerrero Ulloa of Honduras, said they chose that number as a group. -SD Union Tribune

"It may seem like a lot of money to you," said Ulloa. "But it is a small sum compared to everything the United States has stolen from Honduras," referencing American intervention in Central America.

If you want to see evidence of this ...

It is not "we". It is the United Fruit Company. United Fruit had dominated business and politics in Central America. It was the first truly multinational modern corporation, spreading the spirit of liberal capitalism. As well as harvesting the region’s fruit, however, the company wielded formidable influence over small nations, which were often ruled by corrupt dictatorships. United Fruit gave the world not just bananas, but also ”banana republics”.

It emerged that Eli Black, chief executive of the United Fruit Company, had bribed the Honduran president, Oswaldo Lopez Arellano, with $1.25m to encourage him to pull out of a banana cartel which opposed United Fruit. The story was about to come out in the US press in 1975. United Fruit’s Central American plantations were also struggling with hurricane damage and a new banana disease. Facing disgrace and failure, Black took his own life. His death was shocking, not least because he had the reputation of a highly moral man. Wall Street was outraged, the company’s shares crashed and regulators seized its books to prevent ”its further violation of the law”. The company subsequently disappeared from public view and was seemingly erased from the collective mind.

United Fruit may no longer exist, but its legacy on world affairs endures. Its activities in Cuba, where it was seen as a symbol of US imperialism, were significant in the rise of Fidel Castro and the Cuban revolution of the late 1950s. Its participation in the Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba in 1961, in a vain attempt to overthrow Castro, led to the Cuban missile crisis. As the world stood on the brink of nuclear holocaust, few could have imagined it had anything to do with bananas.

Signym, this thread is about the "Caravan" of people walking, not flying, to the Mexican border.

Signym, you mentioned Chile, Colombia, Venezuela. Nobody walked from those three to the Texas/Mexican border. Remember this is about the Caravan. They flew to an airport, probably Miami or Houston. If security isn't good at the airport, it won't be improved by building a better wall along the Texas/Mexico border or sending more troops to Texas with shoot-to-kill orders to stop illegal aliens. Signym, you've got to be a Russian who only read about the US/Latin American rather than experiencing it like I have by actually going. Nobody walks to or from the USA and Chile, Colombia, Venezuela, Panama.

Signym, you should have mentioned boat people from Havana. Deport them back to Cuba where they belong. Send Marco Rubio, GOP Florida Senator, and the 2 million Cubans back to where they belong.

It doens't matter SECOND. EVERY nation that we "intervene in" has a different reason and a different backer. Sometimes its oil, sometimes its banking, sometimes its "free trade", sometimes copper, or water, or "anti-Communism" ... sometimes its bananas. Put your finger on any nation south of our border and we've been there (except Costa Rica) often more than once.

And we're STILL interfering there! Sanctions, CIA operations, security forces "training" and funding, political support for dictatorships and coups ... we really need to get our fingers out of there and let each people find their own way with their own governments.

Is that something we can agree on?

What would it mean in terms of the real world for me to declare I was non-interventionist? It would be meaningless posturing, unless I was the CEO of United Fruit, or the 21st century equivalent, and I had the power to bring down the government of a banana republic. The last time I was vocally opposed to an intervention, the second Iraq War, I was ignored by most of Congress, both Democrat and Republican. I knew it would end badly. It was very predictable:

But not everything ends badly. Therefore I'm not declaring I am a non-interventionist, except when the President is somebody like Bush II, who had a long history of incompetence as Texas governor or the President is Trump, another long history of incompetence going farther back than Bush's, plus Trump has an extra quantity of personal dishonesty and mental derangement.

About as much as it means to the world that you constantly plaster the board with your hatred of Trump, Texas Republicans, Republicans, and Americans in general. And yet, that hasn't stopped your endless spewage!

So just because it IS so meaningless... why not do it? It means nothing, it has no consequences in the real world, it would put you on the right side of YOUR OWN stated POV ... why all this wiggling?

It looks to me like sheer cowardice, but maybe there's something else at play. Maybe it's just too much like your former religion. Maybe you really WANT illegal immigration. Whatever it is, I just can't find a righteous motive behind your evasion.

I got on the phone to talk to some Republicans this morning. None of them could imagine that what Trump did is a crime, which says something is very odd with them:

Michael Cohen, President Trump’s former lawyer, said in a television interview Friday that Trump knew it was wrong to make hush-money payments to women who alleged they had affairs with him, directly contradicting claims from the president.
www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/cohen-says-trump-knew-hush-money-payme

I've got a late Friday lunch meeting with much drinking and with all Republicans. I don't drink. If any think that what Trump did is a crime, although it most definitely is a crime or else Cohen is voluntarily going to a reduced prison term for no reason, I will let you know. But I predict none can comprehend that a crime was committed by Trump. Their minds just don't work quite right when it comes to legal questions. Or political questions. Or how the Federal Reserve functions. Or a whole ton of other things.

Of course, NOBODY can "prove" that they voted in any particular election since the vote is supposed to be by "secret ballot"

I don't believe this is always accurate, in all locales.
The BALLOT is supposed to be secret, except in CA, FL, Moscow, and other Democrap controlled areas.
But the Record of whether you voted (or were given your ballot at the polling location) at every single Election is available in most places, to the public.
Some Elected Officials are known to encounter folk who say "I voted for you" and then whip out a listing which proves the person never voted in that Election.
I'm not sure if that record keeping has changed.

The records don't say HOW you cast your ballot. But if it was a closed primary, it might include which Party you got a ballot for. And if your ward reported no votes for a candidate, it could indicate you did not vote that way.
I heard that there were entire cities which did not record a single vote for Trump.

How do you think they prove that the same person voted in the same Election in more than one polling place?

I wondered about that.

There are voter registration databases, of course. But those don't say whether you voted or not, only that you're registered.

So the VOTING records (poll books or names on mail-in or provisional ballots) are compared to the registration records. In my case, my name was crossed off in a "poll book", and I assume that any provisional or mail-in ballots were compared to the record of my vote to check for duplicates.

But what happens to those records after the votes are certified? I assume that there's some sort of "retention schedule" after which records can be destroyed. I don't know what the CA retention schedule is but ...

Quote:

Federal election documents don't have to be kept longer than 22 months ...

so I assume that voting records have already been destroyed.

Why there is no wall ...

Quote:

"No Wall In Any Form": Govt Shutdown Odds Explode Amid Trump-Schumer Standoff

With a potential government shutdown just days away, Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer (NY) dug in on Sunday, telling Meet The Press that President Trump is "not going to get the wall in any form."

Last Tuesday Trump, Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) clashed over Trump's $5 billion demand for border wall funding in an awkwardly televised argument in the Oval Office, prompting Schumer to later declare on the Senate Floor: "I want to be crystal clear. There will be no additional appropriations to pay for the border wall. It’s done."

The New York Democrat echoed his comments on Meet The Press Sunday, telling host Chuck Todd that Trump doesn't have the votes in the House or the Senate - saying that the president is having a "temper tantrum" over the wall.

"They do not have the votes to pass the president’s proposal — $5 billion or whatever it is for the wall," said Pelosi at a recent news conference. "So … if nothing is going to change in that regard, I don’t know why we just don’t proceed to keep government open so that people can be home for the holidays."

Meanwhile, the odds of a shutdown spiked to 58% on PredictIt, nearly double what it was 24 hours ago.
