Army 1st Lt. Clint Lorance, convicted of second degree murder in the death of three Afghans, was given a full pardon from president for the crimes. Army Maj. Mathew Golsteyn, who faced murder charges next year for a similar crime, was also given a full pardon for those alleged offenses.

Lorance’s case dates back to a 2012 deployment to Afghanistan, when he ordered his soldiers to fire on three unarmed men riding a motorcycle near their patrol. Members of his platoon testified against him at a court-martial trial, describing Lorance as over-zealous and the Afghans as posing no real threat.

Hey Sigs, don't you just WUVVV Chump? Pardoning people found guilty of war crimes...murdering all those brown people whose only crime was riding a motorcycle near a patrol?

Yeah, we wouldn't want to hold soldiers accountable for murdering people...

It's too bad they weren't fascists they killed, this could have been a good thing...

It's almost as if there appears to be a pattern forming, between this and Kentucky...

It's almost as if Trump is cursed or something???

It's cool. Kentucky and Louisiana are both historically Democrat for Governorship much more often than not.

Until 1980, Louisiana had a Democrat in the seat for over 100 years straight. It's only in recent times as the country has become more divided that these seats have been flip-flopping.

Congrats on the win. I just caution against reading too deep into it.

"According to Rethuglicans, unsuccessful attempts at crimes aren't illegal anymore"

I was thinking that last night... At what point did everything Rethugs do -including wholly illegal shit- get a pass??

This guy made one comment about Trump's FORMER atty. and gets immediately canned...

Are we really going to pretend now that Trump invented bribing foreign leaders?

Barack Obama commuted the sentence of Bradley Manning (you may also know him as Chelsea), who leaked hundreds of thousands of sensitive documents to WikiLeaks. A traitor in every sense, in 2013 Manning was convicted and sentenced to 35 years in prison. But, Bradley Manning became a hero of the political left for declaring himself to be transgender, and Obama made his controversial commutation days before leaving office.

Obama also commuted the sentence of convicted terrorist Oscar Lopez Rivera. Lopez Rivera was a leader of the Fuerzas Armadas de Liberación Nacional Puertorriqueña (FALN), a Puerto Rican terrorist group responsible for 130 attacks in the United States, and at least six deaths. An unrepentant Lopez-Rivera was serving a 70-year sentence when Obama set him free.

Not exactly a secret. Especially when it happens so often that the previous VP didn't think twice to brag about withholding a Billion dollars in a live and filmed Q&A.

But, Son of a Bitch, everybody was laughing, so that time it was okay.

Not the same of course. Biden withheld money to get a corrupt prosecutor fired. It was actually under that prosecutor that action against Burisma stalled. The firing of Shorkin was met by most observers as a good thing for Ukraine. Trump's threats were soley for Trump - withholding money unless someone makes up dirt on his political rival. But whatever - they can both can be bad. It's not an either or.

Face it, Trump's a selfish lying scumbag, and these are the things he does and will keep doing.

All Wishy asked me is if I had proof that other leaders have bribed foreign nations, which was a question based on my response to the political cartoon above.

I didn't make any argument of the nuances of each circumstance. I just pointed out that this is such a common practice in the US Government that just a few years ago the VP of the United States and apparently all of his handlers did not have a problem with him admitting to it, bragging about it and cracking jokes in a filmed Q&A in front of a live studio audience. Biden didn't have to be "caught". In a rare moment of honesty, he actually told us how corrupt our government actually is and how billions of taxpayer dollars are spent all the time in foreign nations as bribes instead of, yanno, doing things like rebuilding our infrastructure or making sure that Citizens have water that isn't going to give them cancer or cleaning literal human shit off the streets of Boston and L.A.

Let's not pretend like this hasn't been going on since the 1940's.

Do Right, Be Right. :)

You're confused. Biden did nothing wrong so he had nothing to hide. Trump had his conversation put on a super secret HD so no one could hear him use the power of the presidency to extort/bribe/blackmail the new president of Ukraine for his benefit.

Do politicians do deals? Of course. Do some politicians make illegal ones? Of course. Did Biden? No. Did Trump? Yes. Glad I could help.

Am I glad I got to sleep in this morning... thanks CC.

6ix doesn't see "good or bad action for country" he only sees what Chump wants him to see, (deflect to... everyone else!). 6ix thinks he has to defend "guy being picked on" but he is incapable of seeing the larger picture that Chump is dirty and a bully and just incompetent.

Incompetent people need to stick together, eh 6ix?
