Goodbye, kind world (George Monbiot) - In common with all those generations which have contemplated catastrophe, we appear to be incapable of understanding what confronts us.

Why can't I find the actual TEXT of the articles of impeachment in the so-called news?

Anyway, if they're still the same - abuse of power and obstruction of Congress - neither is a criminal offense. That means they fall sort of the 'high crimes and misdemeanors (failure of fiduciary duties)' standard set in the Constitution. Not that anybody seems to care.

And finally, while I prefer that the Senate dispute the articles, and/or take a nice long time investigating everything to do with Ukraine, there's some indication that ALL foreign aid comes with kick-back to the US Congress, administration (Clinton Foundation, anyone?), and maybe even the President, and NEITHER party wants that rotten log lifted. So I expect that this will die a quick, uninteresting death in the Senate.

McConnell, the crafty old prick, wants to go without calling witnesses and make it happen fast, because he along with the rest of the world, know the GOP has no defense for their Lord Trump other than the vote.

If you want something to take a long time - long like the MSM reporting on Hillary's emails - look for the Durham Report #1 to go all the way to Nov if it's showing any impact in the election polling.

Maybe you should get off your 'smart' phone and google "obstruction of congress" to see if it's a criminal offense. (Hint - it isn't, but take your time and satisfy yourself.) Neither is "abuse of power". (Take your time looking that one up, too.)
To be impeachable it must be a CRIME, for example, perjury, as in "I did not have sex with that woman".
Democrats had to skip past quid-pro-quo, extortion, and bribery - which are crimes - because there was no there, there. And they landed on a made-up non-crime.

Anyway - I have to be somewhere - I'll get back to your ASSinine post later.

This stupid bullshit dumbassery right here is the reason that I think it's actually a crime if the GOP senate speeds this through.

That concludes our articles of STUPID from KIKI.

Despite what Trump's supporters say, however, the president can commit an impeachable high crime without violating the federal criminal law. To conclude otherwise would be to ignore the original meaning, purpose and history of the impeachment power; to subvert the constitutional design of a system of checks and balances; and to leave the nation unnecessarily vulnerable to abusive government officials.

You're right - my example was based on what you said, not on what you are trying to use now to cover for your original dumb sh*ttery.

Maybe you need some more schooling in using Google?

Did you try:
"TEXT of the articles of impeachment + JUDICIARY COMMITTEE" ?

Or maybe:
"TEXT of the articles of impeachment + WHY IS KIKI SUCH A LYING DUMBASS" ?

You didn't read the article you posted, did you? You did a quick search and hoped that link would be a good bluff. Poor, dumb Kiki.
"Thus, the operative legal standard to apply to an impeachment of a sitting President is "treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors." There is substantial difference of opinion over the interpretation of these words.
There are essentially four schools of thought concerning the meaning of these words, although there are innumerable subsets within those four categories.

1. The first general school of thought is that the standard enunciated by the Constitution is subject entirely to whatever interpretation Congress collectively wishes to make.

2. The second view is that the Constitutional standard makes it necessary for a President to have committed an indictable crime in order to be subject to impeachment and removal from office. Here’s one out of 4 that is about an actual crime. So even if this is used, hello payments to Cohen to cover Stormy Porn Star > Campaign Finance violation > here’s your crime in the form of a Felony

3. The third approach is that an indictable crime is not required to impeach and remove a President.

4. The fourth view is that an indictable crime is not required, but that the impeachable act or acts done by the President must in some way relate to his official duties."

Thanks for proving me right again.
