Maybe there is a point a cause or maybe it becomes burning and Looting

Lack of rain, no storms, no flooding, lack of wild dogs and Lions chasing people, no hail, I'm sure if some active volcanoe was blasting off near by people would have better things to do than rioting?

I already told you more than a month ago what the cause is.

Bored, poor people being bored and poor.

And now the shittiest of them have found their justification to start the rioting.

There IS no reason. The targets are those who won in 2016. The deranged hyper far Left demand power, and this is the only way they can get it.

Shut the country down. Destroy the world's best economy. GIVE people money to do nothing, and then invent a cause to get angry over.

Add in Soros paid for goons to organize riots... The ' fun ' has already gone on too long.

Serious use of force needs to be put in play here. China and France went after legitimate protesters with far more force than the these animals have seen.

Time for the boot to fall on the ants.

How's this scenario?

A nation is struggling with economic and political fractures.

Many divisions are opening up in the social sphere, and people have become polarized.

The elites are in trouble, and rife with corruption.

The elected leader's credibility is constantly impugned through fake news spread thru national media, sourced in spook operations.

Protests are organized over anything, or everything, or nothing.

Embedded in the protest movement are provocateurs who crank up the chaos.

If the authorities don't respond with violence, provocateurs crank up the violence even further, graduating from looting and arson to gunfire and explosions. If nothing else works, snipers are sent in to precipitate a false flag, which will be blamed on the govenrment.

The government in power must either crack down, HARD, or fall.

Where is this?

Venezuela?
Syria?
Ukraine?
Hong Kong?

The United States?

Goodbye, kind world (George Monbiot) - In common with all those generations which have contemplated catastrophe, we appear to be incapable of understanding what confronts us.

I don't know if you saw the video, but it was gruesome. Personally, having had asthma for so long, I can actually imagine suffocating to death and it looks like the worst nightmare in the world. So what I'm saying is I don't think the protests are cooked up over nothing. Anyway, I can understand the protests.

I'm not sure I understand the riots, but then I've never understood them because they typically trash their own neighborhoods. It seems like one would want to be more tactical with that. Still, given that they look like typical riots, I'm not sure I could single them out as being astro-turfed.

Anyway, IF one could trust the police, there's an easy way to check for provocateurs - and that's to simply gather as many people as you physically can and check their driver's licenses. If they're from the area, you let them go. If they're from out of town, or out of state, or you can't tell where they came from, you hold them for a time before you let them go.

If you can screen out the people with a non-local background and slow down their actions, you can stop the excuse to escalate the situation further. And nobody shoots anybody.

Just my opinion.

So - yeah, there was definitely a spook-driven campaign against Trump. I guess it's not over. But I think I can see a way to derail that here.

Trump OTOH seems to be playing into it. If he's got smarter people backing his anti-spook/ anti-State Department agenda, either they're not advising him, or he's not listening.

And I'll tell you what.

The goddamned Democrats and Legacy Media better start calling it goddamned rioting instead of calling it goddamned "protesting", or I might have to reconsider all of those times I jumped all over people like Tim Pool for talking about a second Civil War coming.

I thought it was hyperbole.

But the way that Democrats are behaving now about this is no different than when the Muslim community never comes out and denounces a terrorist attack.

And our supposedly "objective" Legacy Media is an accomplice.

I'm sure your media is showing the worst of it.

If you live outside of a dozen or two of the largest and worst Democrat ran shitholes here, you're fine.

I'm literally a few miles away from one of the most crime ridden cities in the country historically and there has been no rioting there. Just some peaceful protesting that could have gotten ugly when they decided they were going to try to block the expressway and cops held their ground and used tear gas. The mayor then came out and actually managed to diffuse the situation and nothing is burning to the ground.

We're a conceal and carry state. Any potential criminals here are well aware of that fact and will step down any of their aspirations for the near future accordingly.

But I still think this is more than "bored poor people". The fact that this all takes place is heavily democratic cities, with a variety of messages and targets, but ALL At ONCE looks suspicious. The police did your research for you and they explained very clearly why many, many more police need to be fired from their jobs. If more police understood that a low paid job with no medical nor retirement benefits was in their future if they misbehaved while on duty, the police would behave better:

Police open-fired paint canisters at people on their own property
In Minneapolis, the Minneapolis Police Department and National Guard marched down the residential streets of Whittier neighborhood. Tanya Kerssen, who lives in the neighborhood, tweeted that the officers shot paint canisters at the residents while shouting “light ’em up.”

Images of police using violence against peaceful protesters are going viral
Police responded to protests across the nation with excessive force.

Police chiefs condemned the killing of George Floyd, but the actions of their officers since show that nothing’s shifted.

Police officers—the ones who make the traffic stops and enforce the public disturbance complaints—were lining up to face off against protesters in cities all around the country. They brought billy clubs, riot gear, and even tanks. They shot rubber bullets at TV reporters, turned pepper spray on large groups of protesters—especially dangerous in the midst of a pandemic—and rushed to the defense of a motorist who recklessly drove through a crowd of demonstrators.

It was hard to miss the duplicity. NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea strongly and publicly rebuked the four Minneapolis officers involved in Floyd’s death. “What we saw in Minnesota was deeply disturbing. It was wrong,” he tweeted. “This is not acceptable ANYWHERE.” But on Friday in Brooklyn, his officers were swinging batons and scuffling with protesters in the streets, and on Saturday they were ramming their police cruisers into them.

Officers are much closer to what we see in viral videos documenting their brutality than in the well-intentioned words of their leaders. Despite the shift in public statements, police haven’t changed since the protests of 2014 and 2015.

ETA: it's true that politics makes strange bedfellows. One wouldn't normally expect Townhall to take up the cause of Black Lives Matter.

But then Townhall brings in antifa and it all becomes clear ... antifa are - yanno - democrats. Just like Nancy and Adam and Chuck and Jerry. Antifa/ bad = Democrats/ bad.

But to get back to the original incident. My opinion is that if there hadn't been random passers-by filming this, it would have all been swept under the rug. That would be despite the fact that "The Minneapolis Police Department also announced that body cameras “were on and activated” during the incident." https://www.pbs.org/newshour/nation/what-we-know-about-george-floyds-d
eath-in-minneapolis-police-custody

But fortunately there WERE people filming it, and the SOP was blown.

Since then, a new video from a random citizen has emerged showing Floyd apparently in the back seat of a cruiser, and an officer leaning in for a number of seconds while the car rocks back and forth - leaving us all to guess what exactly was going on.

But while we're guessing, because of those aforementioned bodycams, police and politicos know exactly what happened. I'd guess (again - left guessing) that what was on those bodycam videos was the reason for their immediate firing and briskly filed criminal charges.

I have a very general question though. Obviously this isn't the first time or the only place someone was tased, or beaten, or knelt on, or dog-piled, or given a 'rough ride', while in handcuffs or other mechanical restraints.

What police policy makes it OK to aggressively subdue a person who's already in restraints? I'd think there would be some kind of bright-line policy decision that would forbid that. Yanno - already in restraints. What more are they looking for?

As Police Attack Protesters in Minneapolis, Speculations About “Outsiders” Draw on Fraught History

As people in the Twin Cities woke up to a devastated city this weekend, state and local officials pushed the idea that the damage was mostly perpetrated by outsiders — a notion that has a long and fraught history in global protest movements. While the Wisconsin teenagers were one small data point supporting that claim, other solid evidence was lacking. And by Saturday night, officials were forced to walk back their claims, after local reporters reviewed arrest records and found that most of the people arrested on Friday and early Saturday in Hennepin County were in fact Minnesota residents.

At a press conference on Saturday morning, St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter said that every person arrested on Friday in his city came from out of state — a statement that jibed with remarks from Mayor Jacob Frey and Gov. Tim Walz. The Minnesota Fusion Center, part of a network of intelligence-sharing agencies created in the wake of 9/11 that in the past have monitored Black Lives Matter, Occupy, and Standing Rock protestors, claimed that as many as 75,000 “agitators” were en route to the state, according to the Star Tribune.

After reporters combed over arrest records, though, Carter took back his comment, saying he’d been given inaccurate information by the police. “Saying they’re outside forces is not to deflect and say we don’t have a problem,” Walz said at a press conference Sunday morning, after reporters asked him about the misinformation.

But that is how such claims have historically been used. The notion that violence is perpetrated by outsiders is one that has cropped up in every major protest movement, from the U.S. civil rights movement on. It has been pushed at past demonstrations in the Middle East; Ferguson, Missouri; the Standing Rock Reservation in the Dakotas; and most recently by the Chinese government in Hong Kong. For some critics, blaming outsiders is a way of distracting from protestors’ legitimate demands.

How police officers became the culture-war heroes of the Trump era

The last Republican administration adopted the soldier as its mascot — “supporting the troops” became synonymous with supporting the Bush administration’s interventionist foreign policy. But as Republicans soured on interventionism (and on George W. Bush), the lionization of “the troops” grew more peripheral to conservative visions of America.

The current Republican president, while he likes generals (particularly gruff generals with tough-sounding nicknames), isn’t much of a natural commander-in-chief. He’s happy to delegate the military decision-making, and a bit awkward (to say the least) interacting with actual soldiers and their families.

More fundamentally, Trump’s vision of America doesn’t mesh with the vision of the soldier as the archetypical American hero: a globally respected force out to protect the rights and freedom of all, through force when necessary. He’s much more comfortable with an America that is somehow the underdog, beset by haters and losers without and within, but is finally punching its way back.

The “American heroes” best suited to Trump’s vision aren’t soldiers — they’re law enforcement officers. Support for law enforcement has become a form of identity politics allyship for many white and conservative Americans: a way to argue against progressive policies and attitudes by speaking on behalf of a marginalized group.

It’s long been accepted — in practice, if not in policy — that the No. 1 job of law enforcement officers is to keep themselves safe, and that they ought to be allowed to do whatever it takes to ensure that. From that perspective, any attempts to restrict the power of police officers — whether from management or from the public — are rules imposed from the outside that could render officers unable to defend themselves. They are, or could be, threats to officers’ lives.

Combine this with some high-profile ambush-style attacks on police and you have the germ of a powerful idea: that criticism of police officers puts their lives in danger.

This is an idea that’s been put forward, broadly, by conservative analysts like Heather Mac Donald, who’s championed the “Ferguson effect” theory — that protests in response to high-profile police shootings end up empowering criminals and demotivating police. It’s encouraged by cable news coverage that has often conflated calls for reforms to police departments with “anti-police” sentiments, and blurred the lines between peaceful protest and riot — giving many suburban Americans the idea that the “inner cities” of America are grotesquely unsafe.

And it’s led to the adoption of “Blue Lives Matter” as a response to “Black Lives Matter,” in slogan and in sentiment, by Republicans — especially the law-and-order, racially conservative Republicans who make up the core of Donald Trump’s supporters.

Trump Falls for Video of Dallas Clash Edited to Cast Machete-Wielding White Vigilante as Victim

https://theintercept.com/2020/05/31/trump-falls-video-dallas-clash-edi
ted-cast-machete-wielding-vigilante-victim
/

The edited clip was the work of Elijah Schaffer, a freelance producer for Glenn Beck’s Blaze TV and a pro-Trump political activist who hosts a YouTube talk show dedicated to mocking left-wing protesters.

Just before 10 p.m. local time in Dallas on Saturday, Schaffer uploaded 24 seconds of video that showed a white man, face down on the street, being kicked, stomped on and beaten with rocks and a skateboard by a group of mainly black protesters. Before posting his video on Twitter, Schaffer edited out the first 18 seconds he had recorded, which showed what happened immediately before the beating began, and wrote a caption that gave the false impression that the man was a store owner who had been attacked by looters.

On his Instagram account, where the same edit has been viewed over 500,000 times, with a close-up of the man’s bloody head on the pavement as a thumbnail, Schaffer explicitly cast the protesters as the aggressors, writing: “It appears he attempted to defend a shop with a large sword. Looters ran at him, then he charged rioters.”

In a subsequent appearance on Blaze TV, Schaffer told the conservative commentator Steven Crowder that the victim of the attack was “a man who was defending his store,” and passed on a false rumor that he had died.

The tweet linking to Schaffer’s video that Trump commented on echoed the false claim that the man who was beaten “was protecting his business,” and added a new one: that he had been “stomped and stoned by Antifa,” using the shorthand for anti-fascist activists who, in fact, played no role in the incident.

But Schaffer’s account of what prompted the fight and the man’s condition were both false, according to statements from the Dallas Police Department and a protester who also witnessed the incident and posted his own more complete but less viral video on Instagram.

Tamika Dameron, a Dallas police spokesperson, told The Intercept that the man who was beaten took to the streets of the Victory Park neighborhood on Saturday, “carrying a machete to allegedly protect his neighborhood from protesters. The victim confronted protesters while holding the machete and was subsequently assaulted by the protesters.”

The man, who has not been identified by the police, was treated at the scene by volunteer medics and brought to a hospital nearby where, Dameron said, “he remains in stable condition.”

Even though Trump tweeted his video because he mistakenly thought that it showed a business owner who was attacked by Antifa, Schaffer was elated. “My coverage of the Dallas riots was just shared by the President of the United States,” he tweeted. “I started this journey 2 years ago. So many people discouraged me at first. Said I should quit while there was still time. Now my work is changing the conversation in America.”

When we elected Donald Trump, we elected a political arsonist. He has been playacting civil war on Twitter. He may finally get his heart's desire:

“Big crowd, professionally organized, but nobody came close to breaching the fence,” he tweeted on Saturday. “If they had they would have been greeted with the most vicious dogs, and most ominous weapons, I have ever seen. That’s when people would have been really badly hurt, at least.”

But not to worry, Trump continued. “I was inside, watched every move, and couldn’t have felt more safe.” Perhaps he feels safe, live-tweeting from inside the presidential palace, but the rest of us don’t. We aren’t.

What makes Trump successful is what makes him dangerous: He knows only the one thing, and knows it too well. All he can see is division; all he knows is discord; all he can do is escalate. He is the King Midas of strife.

To make it clear, Trump wants the protestors dead because they are interfering with his reelection, but Trump also doesn't want to be heard giving the orders to kill them because that, too, would interfere with his reelection. Will General Milley kill Americans like he kills foreigners? I'm pretty sure Trump knows that General Milley cannot "set weapons to stun" as is done on Star Trek.

Meanwhile, this murder happened in Minneapolis for OBVIOUS reasons:

Last fall Bob Kroll, the head of the Minneapolis police union, appeared at a Trump rally, where he thanked the president for ending Barack Obama’s “oppression of police” and letting cops “put the handcuffs on criminals instead of us.”

The events of the past week, in which the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis police custody led to demonstrations against police brutality, and these demonstrations were met by more police brutality — including unprecedented violence against the news media — have made it clear what Kroll meant by taking the handcuffs off. And Donald Trump, far from trying to calm the nation, is pouring gasoline on the fire; he seems very close to trying to incite a civil war.

Trump clearly sides with those who reject any notion that police officers — or any other authority figures — should be held accountable for abusive behavior. Remember, he’s used his authority to pardon members of the U.S. military who were accused or convicted by their own services of committing war crimes.

Trump told a crowd of police officers to be violent with arrested citizens. It wasn’t some weird joke or misstatement, no matter what his aides claimed afterwards. “When you see these thugs being thrown into the back of a paddy wagon, you just see ’em thrown in, rough, I said, ‘Please don’t be too nice.’

“I have to tell you, you know, the laws are so horrendously stacked against us, because for years and years, they’ve been made to protect the criminal,” he added. “Totally made to protect the criminal. Not the officers. You do something wrong, you’re in more jeopardy than they are.”

Trump was happily inciting police violence a year after charges were dropped against several Baltimore officers who somehow allowed Freddie Gray to die of severe neck injuries in the back of their paddy wagon.

Then again, Trump took out a full-page ad calling for the death penalty for the five boys and young men wrongfully arrested as the Central Park Five in 1989. Just last year he refused to apologise for his racist incitement in that case.

Trump can no more end today’s violence than he can manage a pandemic that has killed more than 100,000 Americans, or create the jobs that will rescue more than 40 million unemployed.

Faced with a three-fold crisis of racial, health and economic disasters, we have a three-year-old in the Oval Office.

Our get-tough president started his day by telling the nation’s governors that the world was laughing at them – a recurring nightmare that he loves to project onto everyone else.

“You have to dominate or you’ll look like a bunch of jerks,” he declared, speaking as something of a world-class jerk. “You have to arrest and try people,” he said of the protesters that he called “terrorists”.
