Holy shit, Salon? Are you really attempting to put the blame squarely on Democrat politicians for this while absolving yourselves from the guilt you should feel from the hand you played in it for a decade?

Aside from a few particularly big-named and powerful Democrats, most would accuse you and your competing "news" outlets of writing the articles that guided the Democrat party as a whole into doing the stupid shit they're going to get destroyed for doing.

Not only did you get them believing that anybody gives a shit what your opinions are (we don't), but you got them believing that a majority of Americans share them (we don't).
