No. Blame GOP Neo-Con "leadership" and en masse mail-in fraud ballots.

This guy gets it:

Republicans need to figure out mail-in voting

It’s being used by Democrats to influence the course of elections

https://spectatorworld.com/topic/democrats-mail-voting-midterms-fix/

Quote:

I raised the idea of outlawing mail-in voting with a canny friend. “The Dems would never allow it,” he said, comparing the practice to nuclear weapons. Once they exist, it is impossible to get rid of them. Maybe so, in which case it behooves Republicans to become experts in organizing and deploying mail-in voting for their own candidates.

If nothing else, a little competition in the mail-in ballot sweepstakes would counter the invitation to corruption that follows on the feeling that the fix is in. In the election just past, it seemed, despite media forecasts of a red wave, that a certain complacency was abroad in and about the headquarters of certain contentious races. Gretchen Whitmer never seemed particularly worried about Tudor Dixon, nor did John Fetterman seem worried about Dr. Oz. Of course, Fetterman is a special case. But the point is, I believe, they knew that the fix was in and therefore — to employ another common idiom — that the race was in the bag.

Let me break that down for you...

If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. ~Bugs Bunny

If they want to cheat, let 'em cheat. We're going to cheat better, and we're going to end up taking all the Democrat strongholds away from them co-opting the platform that they championed to allow widespread cheating and never let them cheat better than we will cheat.

We don't allow the cheating in Indiana, but I just might stay overnight at my Grandma's for a few weeks in 2024 and go door to door collecting thousands of ballots from people who would have otherwise been too lazy to vote. That's how they win. We can do it better. And it will all be legal because they made it legal.

--------------------------------------------------

Growing up in a Republic was nice... Shame we couldn't keep it.

Republicans Need to Embrace Early Voting
Election Day matters less than it used to. Unless the GOP adapts, it is doomed to keep losing.

https://www.wsj.com/articles/gop-needs-to-embrace-early-voting-electio
n-day-ballot-harvesting-social-media-absentee-habits-pennsylvania-11669913240?mod=djemalertNEWS

Once again, in other words... Republicans are going to cheat, and they're going to cheat better than Democrats do, using their own rules against them.

Why the fuck do Democrats insist on playing Checkers when everyone else around them is playing Chess?

Almost 8 Out Of 10 Americans Say Things Are "Out Of Control"; New Poll Finds

Steve Watson via Summit News,

A new CBS News Battleground Tracker/YouGov poll has found that a whopping 79 percent of Americans believe the country is “out of control” ahead of the mid term elections.

Just 21 percent responded to the say that they feel things are “under control,” and when that 79 percent were asked which party they will vote for a majority of 58 percent said Republican, with only 34 percent saying they will vote Democrat.

https://summit.news/2022/10/31/poll-almost-8-out-of-10-americans-say-t

About the poll: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/poll-republicans-lead-house-2022-10-30/

I can't imagine which 21% thinks things in America are under control. They must live in a bubble in their heads, or they're getting so rich offa speculation that inflation isn't bothering them.

Of the nearly 80% who think things are "out of control" why are 34% voting "Democrat"? Do they really think that "more of the same" will bring us back to a realistic path?

Anyway, assuming that everyone who thinks things are "in control" will "stay the course" and vote for Biden (the article didn't specify who those people would vote for), and those who think things are "out of control" but are planning to vote for "more of the same" anyway, that means 46% will definitely vote Republican, and there is an absolute 6% undecided.

Somehow, this translates to a red wave.

And it doesn't matter either way. At all.

If Walker wins, Harris still has the tying vote for Democrats. If Warnock wins, Kamala's job of doing literally nothing becomes even easier for her.

The only three people in America who have a stake in this race are Walker, Warnock and Harris.

FYI: 70% of Democrat senator's seats are up for reelection in 2024.

Kamala Harris is tonight's big winner.

Now she has no job responsibilities.

Other than that, nothing's changed from 3 hours ago.

Enjoy the last big win for Democrats. If you don't close up those covid mail-in fraud ballot systems you put into place before the Republicans take the house, that's the end of Democrats winning since Republicans will be better at cheating now that they're coming out and embracing it.

Don't cry when it happens. You were warned.

Schumer celebrates expanded Senate majority with Georgia win: 'It's big'

Majority Leader Chuck Schumer took an emotional victory lap on Wednesday after Democrats won the Georgia runoff and secured an outright majority with a 51st Senate seat.

The Georgia win means Democrats can dispense with the power-sharing accord they struck with Senate Republicans when the Senate was evenly divided, 50-50. That means Democrats will gain a clear majority on committees and avoid having to rely on GOP support to issue subpoenas. It also means less dependence on Vice President Kamala Harris for tie-breaking votes.

“It’s going to mean that our committees will have greater oversight ability, subpoena power,” Schumer said. “And people say, ‘Well, it’s the Biden administration.’ Oh, no, no, no. Subpoena power can deal with corporate corruption and inequities and other problems throughout the country.”

Schumer declined to get more specific on how Democrats intend to use that subpoena power, saying senators will meet to discuss it.

He also weighed in on dealing with a Republican-controlled House, calling on newly elected lawmakers in swing districts in states like New York to be moderate.

"A good number of the non-MAGA Republicans — including some who won in New York, I know a few of them pretty well and worked with them when they were in other offices — realize that if they follow a MAGA direction, they're going to lose, And so I think there's doing to be a real imperative for them to work with us."

So what? The Republicans run their own committees in the house now too. Including nailing Fauci's ass to the wall and impeaching pudding brained Joe*.

The important part is that Joe* can't do shit for the next two years.

If Roe v Wade is overturned the Dems will win in a landslide. If this happens, I believe it is possible they will clean up the Supreme Court. Justices can be impeached, and those who’ve lied about how they would not overturn what has been precedent for decades must be impeached for lying.

This country is founded on the rule of law. This rule of law can only be maintained if we maintain a separation of church and state. It is obvious some on the court are not capable of doing that. They need to go for that reason. And of course, for lying to Congress. That is after all is said and done, against the law.

And it was a landside win for Democrats. Because, it was a landside of lost gains by Republicans. Kevin McCarthy, Republican house minority leader predicted as many as 60 house seats gained. They won 9. They fully expected to win the Senate. They lost seats.

House Republican leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) on Tuesday lost three votes in his bid to become House Speaker, and his ability to successfully lead the GOP caucus is now in serious doubt.

This is not, of course, the first time that rebellious Republicans have tossed one of their leaders overboard, as the party ousted former Rep. John Boehner as House Speaker in 2015.

Writing on Twitter, Politico reporter Heidi Przybyla highlighted a passage from Boehner's memoir, which was published in 2021, where he shed some light on what animates the hardline caucus of the contemporary Republican Party.

"What they're really interested in is chaos," wrote Boehner. "They want to throw sand in the gears of the hated federal government until it fails and they've finally proved that it's beyond saving."

Boehner also highlighted the role that Fox News and other right-wing media played in this role by essentially rewarding Republicans who work to sabotage any effort at governance.

"Every time they vote down a bill, they get another invitation to go on Fox News or talk radio," he explained. "It's a narcissistic -- and dangerous -- feedback loop."

Currently serving Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) made a similar observation on Fox News Tuesday morning, where he accused Republican rebels of being shameless publicity hounds who are only seeking attention.

Some of McCarthy’s allies tried to paint their failure to elect a speaker on the first ballot, which has not happened since 1923, as just another day in this great democracy of ours. Without a speaker, members-elect haven’t been sworn in. Without being sworn in as members, members-elect can’t vote on the rules to govern themselves. There are no rules. There is know nothing. Well, nothing except House Republicans at each other’s throats. The House, leaderless, free of rules, and without official members, oozed away in its primordial state and voted to adjourned.

Maybe House Republicans’ stalemate on the first order of business in the new Congress is all part of their plan. Because once they pick a speaker, they’ll have to attempt to govern.

Republican who voted to impeach Trump entertaining pitching Democrats a deal to secure Speakership: report

On Thursday, The Detroit News reported that retired Congressman Fred Upton (R-MI) is entertaining a plan to offer Democrats some degree of power sharing in the House in return for joining with a handful of GOP lawmakers to elect him Speaker of the House, in the event that Republicans fail to solve their gridlock in trying to elect Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA).

According to the report, one possible offer Upton could make Democrats is an equal number of seats on House committees.

A gang of far-right Republicans has blocked McCarthy from the 218 votes he needs to be elected Speaker, leading to three failed ballots on Tuesday when the new Congress met for the first time — something that has not happened since 1923. These Republicans have demanded a number of changes to House rules that would give them more power over the caucus — which McCarthy has partially complied with, to no avail in reaching a deal with the holdouts.

So far, Democrats have been unanimous in nominating their own newly chosen House Leader, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY). If all Democrats voted together on a compromise Upton candidacy, six Republicans would have to join them. Rep. Don Bacon (R-NE) previously floated a bipartisan Upton candidacy as a possibility if McCarthy cannot secure the votes, but it is unclear whether five other Republicans would join him, or whether Democrats would be willing to accept the deal at all.

Upton, a longtime relative moderate Republican who retired at the end of last session, was one of ten House Republicans who voted to impeach former President Donald Trump for his role in inciting the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. Only two of those lawmakers, Reps. David Valadao (R-CA) and Dan Newhouse (R-WA), are in office, as the others either retired or were defeated in their primary with Trump-backed challengers.

Trump himself is still backing McCarthy for Speaker. Last night, he appeared to step back from his endorsement, but reasserted it this morning with a post on his Truth Social platform.

At the very least, the house will revert back to Democrat control in 2024 because Republicans will be dealing with a much tougher election. This is based on the house races scheduled to take place in 2024. Then there will also be push back on them for letting the nuts loose with committee appointments in 2023.

My prediction is that the Democrats will control the house before 2024. Why, what makes me think that? There were 16 in congress in 2020 that did not make it until 2022. Death, problems with the law and so on. I'm just not sure when it will happen.

Colorado congresswoman Lauren Boebert said she wants a “single-member motion to vacate.” Such a motion would mean that any member of the House, at any time, could call a new Speaker election. In other words: The Speakership would be held hostage by whichever congressperson was feeling craziest that day. McCarthy has already agreed to a five-member threshold for a motion to vacate, which means that five members can get together and throw sand in the gears whenever they want. Not exactly a recipe for legislative success.

Republicans have spent a lot of time discussing the motion to vacate the chair, which is the mechanism for ousting the speaker.

Maybe. 2 years is a long way away.

But the fact is that 70% of Democrat Senate seats are up for reelection while hardly any Republican seats are.

House Is Paralyzed Without a Speaker — Creating National Security Risks and a Shadow Shutdown

Right now, members of Congress are unable even to view classified documents.

Imagine a future speakership fight with even more disturbing consequences — if a dispute like this were to occur during a year in which Congress is charged with certifying a presidential election.

Asshole McCarthy got it.

The Establishment Democrats appear to be very pleased. No reason they shouldn't be.

That little Goblin Fauci is breathing a heavy sigh of relief, since there's very little chance he'll ever pay for his crimes against humanity now.

Pfizer's stock should jump next week.

Oh well.

The sun will rise tomorrow.

Former president Donald Trump is facing a legal challenge to his 2024 bid for the presidency from a fellow Republican.

John Anthony Castro, an attorney from Texas and long-shot candidate for president in 2024, filed the lawsuit in federal court on Friday arguing that Trump was constitutionally ineligible to hold office under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment.

Known as the “Disqualification Clause,” the section prohibits anyone who engaged in “insurrection or rebellion” against the United States from holding “any office, civil or military, under the United States.” Castro is arguing that Trump’s involvement in the January 6th insurrection should disqualify him from holding public office again.

I don't find it funny that NeoCons are pulling out all the stops to make sure that Trump isn't President in 2 years.

But unlike Democrats did for the same ends, they haven't worked with China to unleash 2.5 years of insanity on the entire world to make it happen...

At least not yet.
