I'm not even going to debase myself by wasting time reading an article with a title like that...

But if that single headline doesn't tell you all you need to know about anybody who drives around an EV and how their brain works, I don't know what to tell you.

Don't get stuck in a snow storm, buddy.

Oh look at that...

Even an offhanded remark turned out to be another prediction proven true.

(HOW DO I DO IT!!!!) SPOILER ALERT: It ain't magic.

Everyone does realize the only reason that anybody is reporting on it is because Tesla is owned by Elon Musk, and all the Leftoids hate Elon Musk now, right?

In Mar 19, 2021, Forbes reported that "Tesla Has A Temperature Problem"

We start off with a “full tank”—i.e. 100% charge with a 322 mile range, so we think we’re golden. One hundred miles into the journey, we should be at about 222 miles, but it reads 160. Where’s the missing 62 miles?

After a 20 minute charge session, we arrived in Manchester with 150 miles left. Seems safe, right? Wrong. Parked outside overnight in what is now negative 8 Fahrenheit, the battery lost 30 miles.

“You have to keep the battery warm, but the battery itself is where heat comes from. You’re draining the battery to operate a heater,” adds Less. “You can definitely engineer around temperature problems, but can you do that and still have the same mileage prediction you had when you left the garage? The answer is no.”

I had to drive a nerve wracking 40 miles with a supposed 96 miles of charge on the car, only to arrive at the Supercharger with just 20 miles to spare.

RIGHT-CENTER BIAS

These media sources are slightly to moderately conservative in bias. They often publish factual information that utilizes loaded words (wording that attempts to influence an audience by appealing to emotion or stereotypes) to favor conservative causes. These sources are generally trustworthy for information but may require further investigation. See all Right-Center sources.

Overall, we rate Forbes Right-Center biased based on story selection that favors the right and the political affiliation of its ownership. We also rate them Mostly Factual in reporting rather than High due to some misleading or false stories related to climate science.

Maybe not so false, huh?

Tesla's electric cars are being attacked because the batteries are crappy, not because Musk of Tesla is . . . whatever the hell that nut is. The solution to the battery problem will not come from Musk. It will be engineers who solve this problem. Whenever goodenough solution is reached, Musk will take all the credit for himself because he is . . . whatever the hell he is.

Personally, I like EV's because I live where the weather is warm and I drive the EV for 20 miles between home, where there is a charger, and work, where there is another charger, but not very many people have a set up like that.

The Goodenough Battery: Work on Goodenough’s breakthrough solid-state EV battery moves forward

John Goodenough, the co-inventor of the lithium-ion battery, won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2019. But two years earlier, he announced that he made a breakthrough on a solid-state battery that could mean the end of internal-combustion cars.

And yet, nobody here remembers you ever saying that or posting articles here, slamming on Musk's EVs/Batteries back in March of 2021 because it didn't happen.

(As an experiment, somebody should try digging up any articles written by Leftoid media sites about that same issue in or around March of 2021 too. A fool's errand for sure, since the likelihood is slim to none.)

The Goodenough Battery

Damn! I should have trademarked that when JO and I were discussing his perpetual motion machine and I suggested that it didn't have to be actual perpetual motion, but Good Enough when coupled with solar powered batteries to get it over the hump when it needed an extra push, followed by a link to Cyndi Lauper's video.

Maybe Cyndi should sue them for trademark. Somebody should alert her management on Twitter.
