I did not see the match, but, the little I did see felt somewhat odd. I'm not saying the fix was in. But the few seconds I saw of the fight was off in terms of Rousey's usual attack approach and stance. I smell a comeback of epic proportions.

It is possible that this was a set-up by White, the consummate showman, to boost ratings and prize money for UFC in general, and the women's game specifically.

I'm just saying.

I watched the fight on tv. As always Rousey tried to take her opponent down quickly to apply her patented arm bar, but Holm had figured out how to avoid it. A frustrated Rousey just kept coming at her and each time got a thunderbolt to the face. It was pretty brutal to watch. I haven't seen a pounding like that since the Larry Holmes/Gerry Cooney fight. Everyone wants and expects a rematch, but I think that's a long wait for a train that probably ain't coming.
