Durbin made the explosive allegation in letters he sent Friday to Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino seeking more information about the administration’s handling of files related to Epstein and asking why senior officials were allegedly focused on looking for documents connecting Trump to Epstein.

Citing “information my office received,” Durbin said Bondi “pressured the FBI to put approximately 1,000 personnel in its Information Management Division” on 24-hour shifts to review about 100,000 Epstein-related records as part of a broader effort to release documents publicly by what Durbin called “an arbitrarily short deadline.”

Durbin says his office was told FBI personnel were “instructed to ‘flag’ any records in which President Trump was mentioned.”

He went on to note in the letters that Trump in 2002 said he had known Epstein for 15 years and called him a “terrific guy” and “a lot of fun to be with.”

Internet sleuths reveal hack to undo Epstein file redactions

Amateur hackers are using Photoshop to undo redactions in files released by the Department of Justice in the Jeffrey Epstein case.

The latest 11,034-document dump under the Epstein Files Transparency Act on Monday came heavily stocked with blacked-out names and phrases, much to the chagrin of social media sleuths. But within hours, X users had already uncovered the not-so-bulletproof method the DOJ used to redact the information.

“So apparently there are many Epstein files on the DOJ website where you can highlight the redacted text, copy it, and paste it onto another document to read the redactions,” X user Liam Nissan shared in a post viewed 6.8 million times as of publication.

Independent political commentator Ed Krassenstein even posted a how-to video on X, demonstrating the process—and ridiculing Trump’s DOJ at the same time.

“Trump DOJ screwed up some of the redactions so bad that you can recover them,” he said in the video. “And I did so simply by copying and pasting the text.”

The redactions fueled speculation that the president, whom Epstein has called his closest friend, is covering up his own name or shielding others who appear in the documents.

“The Epstein files on the DOJ website allow you to highlight the redacted text, copy it, and paste it into another document, which reveals what was hidden,” one X user wrote.”You can also press Ctrl+F and search for ‘Trump ’ (with a space) to see his name appear more than 600 times.”

t’s not clear how many documents can be unmasked by the editing trick. However, one newly naked document shed light on a civil case against Darren K. Indyke and Richard D. Kahn, two executors of Epstein’s estate. According to The Guardian, a redacted portion reads: “Between September 2015 and June 2019, Indyke signed (FAC) for over $400,000 made payable to young female models and actresses, including a former Russian model who received over $380,000 through monthly payments of $8,333 made over a period of more than three and a half years until the middle of 2019.”

Another redacted passage alleges that the two men tried to conceal their “criminal sex trafficking and abuse” through large sums of hush money to victims and witnesses.

“Epstein also instructed one or more Epstein Enterprise participant-witnesses to destroy evidence relevant to ongoing court proceedings involving Defendants’ criminal sex trafficking and abuse conduct,” the document reads.

The Photoshop loophole was discovered a month after the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which President Donald Trump signed. Of the material made public—in which Trump’s name appears multiple times—hundreds of pages were heavily redacted, which legal experts say “falls far short” of what is legally required under the law.

In response, the DOJ has issued a defensive statement alleging that some of the documents “contain untrue and sensationalist” allegations against the president.

“To be clear: the claims are unfounded and false, and if they had a shred of credibility, they certainly would have been weaponized against President Trump already,” the DOJ said.

The department has said many of the redactions were made to protect victims’ privacy or to shield minors. Yet several Epstein survivors—whose identities had previously been protected—have since discovered their names were left unredacted in the released documents.

Trump has insisted that he and Epstein, who died by suicide in a Manhattan holding cell in 2019, were never close friends, repeating several times that he distanced himself from the late financier after he was put on the sex offender list in 2008, shortly after he pleaded guilty to a charge of solicitation of prostitution with a minor.

They already know that they don't have to.

Almost nobody knows what QAnon is. The only things they've ever heard of them were the "scary" Legacy Media coverage. So accuse somebody of being QAnon and you get the normies almost automatically believing whatever you want to about them whether any of it's true or not.


Even after all my time on these boards, I couldn't tell you what QAnon is. I couldn't even tell you one of their beliefs either. My eyes just kind of glaze over and I completely gloss over any of it. Without any real evidence why, I'm going to guess it's my brain's self-defense mechanism to not allow any sorts of new conspiracy stuff into it, because the symptoms aren't fun once I start jumping down rabbit holes.

The only reason at all that it's on my radar right now is my old man asked me the other day what QAnon was when we were talking some politics, and asked if it was some sort of fringe conspiracy group. I told him I honestly didn't know. I also told him to consider the sources saying that they were a fringe conspiracy group before he made a decision on his own about that.



Remember the days when Julian Assange was a hero to the same people that are now happy to see him hiding away the rest of his days in isolation, as well as cheering that big tech is taking over and making decisions about what speech is free?

People don't just make fair-weather fans for sports teams. They're fair-weather everything.

Give it 10 years and if QAnon is still around, I could see half of the posters on this board supporting it then after slamming it today.

They control high positions in government, banks, international finance, the news media, and the church. They want to disarm the police. They promote homosexuality and pedophilia. They plan to mongrelize the white race so it will lose its essential power.

Does this conspiracy theory sound familiar? It is. The same narrative has been repackaged by QAnon.

I have studied and worked to prevent genocide for forty years. Genocide Watch and the Alliance Against Genocide, the first international anti-genocide coalition, see such hate-filled conspiracy theories as early warning signs of deadly genocidal violence.

The plot, described above, was the conspiracy “revealed” in the most influential anti-Jewish pamphlet of all time. It was called The Protocols of the Elders of Zion. It was written by Russian anti-Jewish propagandists around 1902. It collected myths about a Jewish plot to take over the world that had existed for hundreds of years. Central to its mythology was the Blood Libel, which claimed that Jews kidnapped and slaughtered Christian children and drained their blood to mix in the dough for matzos consumed on Jewish holidays.

The Nazis published a children’s book of the Protocols that they required in the curriculum of every primary school in Germany. The Nazi newspaper, Der Stürmer (derived from the German word for “Storm”) spread the Blood Libel. Hitler’s Mein Kampf, his narcissistic autobiography and manifesto for his battle against the Jewish plot to rule the world, copied his conspiracy theories from the Protocols.

The Nazis worshiped Adolf Hitler as the Leader who would rescue the white race from this secret Jewish plot. Nazi “storm troopers” (“storm detachment” – Sturmabteilung) helped bring Hitler to power. Nazi Germany went on to conquer Europe and murder six million Jews and millions of Roma, Slavs, LGBTQ and other people.

America had its own dark side. Henry Ford echoed Nazi hatred of Jews and had 500,000 copies of the Protocols printed and distributed in the U.S. Father Coughlin preached the Protocols on national radio. The Ku Klux Klan combined its white supremacist racism with hatred of Jews.

QAnon’s conspiracy theory is a rebranded version of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

QAnon purveys the fantasy that a secret Satan-worshiping cabal is taking over the world. Its members kidnap white children, keep them in secret prisons run by pedophiles, slaughter, and eat them to gain power from the essence in their blood. The cabal held the American Presidency under the Clintons and Obama, nearly took power again in 2016, and lurks in a “Deep State” financed by Jews, including George Soros, and in Jews who control the media. They want to disarm citizens and defund the police. They promote abortion, transgender rights, and homosexuality. They want open borders so brown illegal aliens can invade America and mongrelize the white race.

QAnon true believers think Donald Trump will rescue America from this Satanic cabal. At the time of “The Storm,” supporters of the cabal will be rounded up and executed.

They already know that they don't have to.

Almost nobody knows what QAnon is. The only things they've ever heard of them were the "scary" Legacy Media coverage. So accuse somebody of being QAnon and you get the normies almost automatically believing whatever you want to about them whether any of it's true or not.


Even after all my time on these boards, I couldn't tell you what QAnon is. I couldn't even tell you one of their beliefs either. My eyes just kind of glaze over and I completely gloss over any of it. Without any real evidence why, I'm going to guess it's my brain's self-defense mechanism to not allow any sorts of new conspiracy stuff into it, because the symptoms aren't fun once I start jumping down rabbit holes.

The only reason at all that it's on my radar right now is my old man asked me the other day what QAnon was when we were talking some politics, and asked if it was some sort of fringe conspiracy group. I told him I honestly didn't know. I also told him to consider the sources saying that they were a fringe conspiracy group before he made a decision on his own about that.



Remember the days when Julian Assange was a hero to the same people that are now happy to see him hiding away the rest of his days in isolation, as well as cheering that big tech is taking over and making decisions about what speech is free?

People don't just make fair-weather fans for sports teams. They're fair-weather everything.

Give it 10 years and if QAnon is still around, I could see half of the posters on this board supporting it then after slamming it today.

Internet sleuths reveal hack to undo Epstein file redactions

Amateur hackers are using Photoshop to undo redactions in files released by the Department of Justice in the Jeffrey Epstein case.

The latest 11,034-document dump under the Epstein Files Transparency Act on Monday came heavily stocked with blacked-out names and phrases, much to the chagrin of social media sleuths. But within hours, X users had already uncovered the not-so-bulletproof method the DOJ used to redact the information.

“So apparently there are many Epstein files on the DOJ website where you can highlight the redacted text, copy it, and paste it onto another document to read the redactions,” X user Liam Nissan shared in a post viewed 6.8 million times as of publication.

Independent political commentator Ed Krassenstein even posted a how-to video on X, demonstrating the process—and ridiculing Trump’s DOJ at the same time.

“Trump DOJ screwed up some of the redactions so bad that you can recover them,” he said in the video. “And I did so simply by copying and pasting the text.”

The redactions fueled speculation that the president, whom Epstein has called his closest friend, is covering up his own name or shielding others who appear in the documents.

“The Epstein files on the DOJ website allow you to highlight the redacted text, copy it, and paste it into another document, which reveals what was hidden,” one X user wrote.”You can also press Ctrl+F and search for ‘Trump ’ (with a space) to see his name appear more than 600 times.”

t’s not clear how many documents can be unmasked by the editing trick. However, one newly naked document shed light on a civil case against Darren K. Indyke and Richard D. Kahn, two executors of Epstein’s estate. According to The Guardian, a redacted portion reads: “Between September 2015 and June 2019, Indyke signed (FAC) for over $400,000 made payable to young female models and actresses, including a former Russian model who received over $380,000 through monthly payments of $8,333 made over a period of more than three and a half years until the middle of 2019.”

Indyke has never faced criminal charges and was hired by the Parlatore Law Group in 2022—prior to the DOJ settling the Epstein case—which represents Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

Another redacted passage alleges that the two men tried to conceal their “criminal sex trafficking and abuse” through large sums of hush money to victims and witnesses.

“Epstein also instructed one or more Epstein Enterprise participant-witnesses to destroy evidence relevant to ongoing court proceedings involving Defendants’ criminal sex trafficking and abuse conduct,” the document reads.

The Photoshop loophole was discovered a month after the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which President Donald Trump signed. Of the material made public—in which Trump’s name appears multiple times—hundreds of pages were heavily redacted, which legal experts say “falls far short” of what is legally required under the law.

In response, the DOJ has issued a defensive statement alleging that some of the documents “contain untrue and sensationalist” allegations against the president.

“To be clear: the claims are unfounded and false, and if they had a shred of credibility, they certainly would have been weaponized against President Trump already,” the DOJ said.

The department has said many of the redactions were made to protect victims’ privacy or to shield minors. Yet several Epstein survivors—whose identities had previously been protected—have since discovered their names were left unredacted in the released documents.

Trump has insisted that he and Epstein, who died by suicide in a Manhattan holding cell in 2019, were never close friends, repeating several times that he distanced himself from the late financier after he was put on the sex offender list in 2008, shortly after he pleaded guilty to a charge of solicitation of prostitution with a minor.

The Daily Beast has reached out to the Department of Justice for comment.
