The women described a similar pattern of events: Swalwell, who is married and has three children, showed close interest in their lives when they were in their twenties and finding their footing professionally, making them feel special and even starstruck. Then, they said, he would send them increasingly sexual messages. Many said they reciprocated and engaged with him in part because of his position of power. In some cases, those inappropriate exchanges escalated to alleged unwanted physical touch or sexual assault, often tied to episodes of heavy drinking.

The women asked not to be named out of fear of retaliation by Swalwell or professional consequences for speaking out against him.

Bullshit.

"often tied to episodes of heavy drinking"...

Here's a tip, ladies. If you're worried and think that somebody you know who you have no interest in is going to rape you, the last thing that you should be doing is going out with them regularly and drinking to the point where you're blacking out.

Eric is a dipshit, dumbfuck Californian Democrat, and I don't believe a single allegation made against him.

If you're a slut who's decided you're going to fuck your way to the top, you don't get to cry rape years later. Nobody held a gun to your head.

Part of being "Strong and Independent" is taking responsibility for your own mistakes. And that ABSOLUTELY includes any mistakes you make while you got yourself too drunk to make good decisions. ASK ME HOW I KNOW.

And besides... we don't even know if any of these allegations have any merit in the first place. We've all seen the depths that Democrats will sink to in order to win elections. If I were part of Swalwell's team, I'd be looking into the finances of all of these "many" women crawling out of the woodwork right now and see how many of them just bought themselves something really nice like a brand new Range Rover or whatever it is that stupid people waste their money on.

Interesting...

I decided to see what Google AI might answer if I asked "Who do you think set up Swalwell?"

I still don't know what makes Google AI force itself upon you when you do a search query on Google and when it doesn't because it seems so random when it does and doesn't pop up without you requesting it. That being said, apparently Google AI Bot didn't think that I was adressing it specifically or made a conscious decision not to weigh in on this one.

But I did something I don't usually do and clicked on "AI Mode" with that query still in the system and it spit this out...

Quote:

In the current 2026 California gubernatorial race, the question of who might be "setting up" Representative Eric Swalwell has become a central point of contention following a wave of sexual misconduct allegations that surfaced on April 10, 2026.
Swalwell’s campaign has explicitly characterized these allegations as a coordinated effort by political opponents and MAGA conspiracy theorists to derail his candidacy just weeks before the June 2 nonpartisan primary.

Theories on the Origins of the Allegations

Different perspectives have emerged regarding who might be behind the current pressure on Swalwell:

Political Opponents: Swalwell’s campaign spokesperson stated that the "false, outrageous rumor" is being spread by "flailing opponents" who have teamed up with conspiracy theorists because Swalwell was leading the Democratic field in recent polls.

The "MAGA" Connection: Because of Swalwell’s high-profile history as a vocal critic of Donald Trump and his role in the first impeachment, his supporters and campaign argue that he is being targeted by right-wing figures.

Intra-Party Pressure: Some reports indicate that "anxiety over Swalwell is ripping through the Democratic Party". Following the allegations, major Democratic figures like Senators Adam Schiff and Alex Padilla called for him to exit the race, and several powerful labor unions have pulled their endorsements.

Specific Legal Challengers: Some point to right-wing filmmaker Joel Gilbert, who previously filed a lawsuit claiming Swalwell is a D.C. resident rather than a California resident, as an example of ongoing efforts to disqualify him.

Context of the Allegations

The timing and nature of the claims are critical to the "set up" narrative:

Timing: The San Francisco Chronicle report and CNN investigation detailing claims from four women were published on Friday, April 10, 2026, which the campaign calls "election eve".

Substance: A former staffer alleged two instances of sexual assault and a pattern of inappropriate messaging via Snapchat.

Campaign Response: Swalwell has categorically denied the claims, calling them "lies" and issuing cease-and-desist letters to the accusers.

At this stage, whether this is a genuine "set up" or the result of whistleblowers coming forward remains a matter of intense political debate in California.

Well... first off, let me just say that it's rather fortuitous for everyone making the claims now that they all used Snapchat to talk to the Congressman... Because every woman gets to claim that Swalwell sent them dick picks and videos, but none of them have a single shred of evidence because snapchat (allegedly) deletes whatever you upload shortly after you upload it.

Wow! Isn't that lucky? We get to make serious allegations against a man, but we don't have a single shred of evidence to back up any of these claims besides #BelieveAllWomen.

Uh-huh.

Let's not even go into the fact that I've been able to download videos off of YouTube without YouTube's permission since 2007, and that it's not hard to download videos off of ANY site, and I didn't even have to be raped to figure that out for myself.

And I don't think I have to climb out very far on a limb to say that it wasn't a MAGA generated hoax. Not just because everybody running in that race is cancer personified, but more importantly because if you knock out one of the leading Democrats in that race, their share of the votes will be shared with all the remaining Democrats in the race. The only way that a Republican becomes the next Governor of California is if both of the Republicans in the race come in 1st and 2nd place in California's totally screwed up ranked choice system. If Swalwell is out, that's not going to happen. If Swalwell is out at least 1 Democrat will take 1st or 2nd place, and there's no way that a Republican candidate is going to beat a Democratic candidate for California Governor in a General election.

It's 100% a Democrat behind all of this.

I just wonder who it is.

It's not any of the candidates in the race. They're all just as small potatoes as Swallwell himself is. On the off chance that it is coming from one or more of them, it's at the behest of somebody in the background who's making some major campaign contributions who can easily just walk away from the whole thing if it blows up in their face and Eric is somehow able to prove that the allegations are pure bullshit.

The real question is whether it's a high-ranking Democrat or collection of high-ranking Democrats that are behind this, or maybe we're talking more external meddling from Soros or somebody just as evil.

Good comment:

Quote:

Long before any of this stuff broke, I have despised Eric Swalwell as just another affluent, out of touch leftist. For good measure, he slept with a Chinese spy. That said, what is happening to him now reflects the mindless perversion that has become endemic in our political process. Accusers have come forward and made accusations that, if true , would show him to be a quite heinous predator. None of these people have, however, produced any evidence upon which honest people could begin to form opinions as to the truth of their allegations. Thusfar, we don't even know the names of the accusers, much less anything much about their backgrounds. With neither names nor significant details available, Swalwell has almost no ability to attempt to refute any of these allegations. Despite the lack of hard evidence, his fellow players in the political piranha pond are tearing into him as some sort of modern Marquis de Sade. His gubernatorial bid is deader than Joe Biden's brain. Maybe that is exactly what Swalwell deserves, but it would be nice to see some evidence of that first.

And nobody on the Left seems to be questioning this.

No surprise, since you're all a bunch of fucking lemmings.

Whether it's because it has nothing to do with Trump or because you know that I'm right and that Democrats are behind this as it's their only chance to secure victory in California, you won't even comment on this story at all.

Ted, Second and anyone else who votes Democrat are despicable.

And the party knows exactly how stupid their fucking voter base is, and that this tactic will work EVERY SINGLE TIME, no matter what.

I feel like I need a shower any time I come into contact with any of you sub-humans.

Congratulations on your pincer attack. You're going to have Mandami on the East Coast, and Porter on the West Coast.

Unfortunately for your plans, they are both going to destroy the lives and livelihood of everyone they represent.

Swalwell scandal threatens cascade of House expulsion votes

Lawmakers in both parties are exasperated with recent ethics and sex scandals, and some are privately entertaining the catharsis of a proverbial bloodletting.

"People feel confident that the allegations against all four are credible," said one House Democrat, who added that many members "are frustrated ... by what feels like a bottleneck of scandals without any real accountability yet in any one."

A second House Democrat said: "We want a full house cleaning. Get the garbage out of here. These jerks are destroying Congress, for the American people and for all of us who came here to do good work."

• Gonzales admitted to an affair with a staffer who later died by suicide and is under investigation by the House Ethics Committee.

• Cherfilus-McCormick was found guilty by the Ethics Committee on a litany of charges, most notably that she funneled $5 million in Covid relief funds to her congressional campaign. She has denied wrongdoing.

• Mills is under investigation by the Ethics Committee on an array of allegations including financial misconduct, campaign finance violations and sexual misconduct, all of which he denies.

Flashback: House Republican leadership opposed an expulsion resolution targeting former Rep. George Santos (R-N.Y.) in 2023 to protect their narrow majority, but that didn't stop it from passing anyway.

If we were going to really purge the US Government for sex crimes, there wouldn't be any government left. They're all fucking degenerates on both sides. Including all the women.

I look forward to many of them being ousted in the future and looking back on their words today, just as we're looking at Swalwell's words about Kavanaugh only 4 years ago today during all of this.

Don't you mean LOST California's governorship?

For much of the past two weeks, he was in a three-way tie for lead Democrat in the race, along with Katie Porter and Tom Steyer, all of whom trailed the two Republican candidates, Steve Hilton and Chad Bianco, raising concerns among Democrats that the two Republicans could take the top two spots in the June 2 primary election, advance to November and lock Democrats out of the governor's seat.

No. I don't.

As of yesterday, the RCP aggregate of the polling showed the following:

Hilton (R): 14.7%
Swalwell (D): 13.7%
Bianco (R): 13.0%
Porter (D): 11.3%
Steyer (D) 10.3%

For about a month, the Repbulicans had been in 1st and 2nd place most of the time, with Swalwell bouncing in and out of 2nd place too.

The ONLY chance a Republican had of winning California was for the vote to remain split on Democrats long enough for both Republicans to take 1st and 2nd place, because there isn't a chance in hell either of them will win against a Democrat in the General.

Ruining Swalwell's life for telling them to fuck off when they wanted him to drop out of the race for somebody less white and/or male will ensure that a Democrat wins in the General now.

None of that 13.7% is going to a Republican.

Let's say 5% goes to Porter, 5% goes to Steyer and 3% goes to Becerra.

Now both Porter and Steyer win 1st and 2nd place and a Republican doesn't even place.

Sure... There's a chance that either Hilton or Bianco will drop out and their votes will be pooled with the remaining candidate and they could take 1st place, but that doesn't matter.

Knocking Swalwell out of the race leads to an easy Democrat victory in the General.

So, congratulations.

I hope you're proud of yourselves.

Yeah... My old man told me about that today. I'd never heard of him until now.

That's some bullshit too.

And if you really are a Boomer, you should agree with me on that. 40 years ago nobody thought twice about dating and/or just fucking co-workers, bosses or subordinates. That was decades of Leftists talking points and Six Sigma that changed everyone's perception on it. Even at my last good job, there were people who had already been there a long time who would tell me how many people, especially on the night shift were fucking in the building. This was a pure office setting, at a company who had to turn over accurate data to the FED every night by 3AM or they got fined $50k per hour for every hour it was late... so we're not talking about some small ma and pa place either.

Sounds like everyone is talking about her suicide in the same breath as they talk about he was fucking her. Has anybody proven or even alleged that their relationship led to her death? Or is this more gross behavior by the Legacy Media and a bunch of human beings that don't know how to mind their own fucking business?

I'm seriously asking, because I'm not going to look into it.

Back in the 19th Century, the Legacy Media was blamed for starting a war. Uncle Tom's Cabin was famously banned in the Southern US before the Civil War for its anti-slavery message because of its portrayal of slavery's cruelty and its pro-abolitionist stance. Since that book did not persuade slave-owners that their way of life was evil, Generals William T. Sherman and U. S. Grant used stronger methods. There is an even older book, the Bible, that portrays adultery and fornication as evil. Since that book did not persuade Swalwell or Gonzales that their way of life is evil, Congress is using stronger methods.

Swift Swalwell Fallout Suggests the Democrats Have Finally Learned From Epstein

The former representative’s rapid collapse over sexual assault allegations signals that Democrats have gotten the message: Voters see accountability for abuse as a key electoral issue.

By Jessica Washington | April 14 2026, 5:34 p.m.

https://theintercept.com/2026/04/14/eric-swalwell-sexual-assault-alleg
ations-midterms-epstein
/

Sexual assault allegations leveled against former Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., stood out for their lurid detail — and because the fallout was unusually swift.

Within hours after the San Francisco Chronicle dropped a story Friday that accused Swalwell of sexually assaulting a former staffer, over a dozen Democrats had pulled their endorsements of the then-frontrunner for governor of California. CNN followed that evening with a story labeling the former staffer’s accusations as rape and revealing that three additional women were accusing Swalwell of sexual misconduct. He suspended his campaign for governor Sunday, and on Monday, he announced his resignation from Congress. He was out Tuesday at 2 p.m. ET.

The outcry made sense, in part, because of the severity of the allegations: The ex-staffer said Swalwell left her vaginally bruised and bleeding; another woman alleged Tuesday that he had drugged her in order to rape her. But the fact that Swalwell, who has denied the allegations, did not remain in Congress while under investigation suggests that American politicians are sensitive to concerns over sexual abuse and misconduct — particularly as the midterms approach against the backdrop of the Epstein files, and Democrats position themselves as defenders of victims as they head into November.

“It’s hypocrisy if they don’t” speak out, said Nina Smith, a Democratic communications strategist and former senior adviser to former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacy Abrams.

Smith said that the advocacy from Epstein’s survivors, as well as the people who’ve been speaking out online about Swalwell, helped force lawmakers to take a stand on this issue.

“It has created this watershed moment on the Democrats’ part to address this issue quickly,” she told The Intercept. “Both parties are recognizing that accountability is something that is at the forefront of a lot of voters’ minds.”

In a February poll from Reuters/Ipsos, 69 percent of respondents said the statement that the Epstein files “show that powerful people in the U.S are rarely held accountable for their actions” represented their views “very well” or “extremely well.”

Rep. Summer Lee, D-Pa., said that Democrats have to demonstrate “accountability” even when allegations come up against one of their own.

“The work and bravery of Epstein’s survivors helped expose just how deeply these systems are failing us.”

“Our job is to center the people who were harmed, to take allegations seriously, and to make sure there are real systems for justice,” Lee wrote in a statement to The Intercept. “The work and bravery of Epstein’s survivors helped further expose just how deeply these systems are failing us — all while protecting perpetrators with money, connections, or status. That legacy demands more from all of us right now.”

Still, it’s too soon for Democratic leadership “to be patting themselves on the back,” about Swalwell’s swift rebuke, said Michael Ceraso, a Democratic communications strategist who worked on Pete Buttigieg’s presidential campaign. He pointed to the level of detail and corroboration in the stories that CNN and the SF Chronicle published, arguing the careful reporting “made it fail-safe for political leaders to do the right thing.”

And that doesn’t excuse the people who had heard the rumors and continued to support Swalwell until the allegations were in a newspaper, Ceraso added. “I would call bullshit on people” within his proximity who are “claiming they didn’t know this,” he said.

There’s been heavy attention on Sen. Ruben Gallego, D-Ariz., who was long known to be a close friend of Swalwell’s. Gallego claimed Tuesday that Swalwell had “lied to” him — but admitted to hearing that his close friend and colleague was “flirty.”

“I definitely look at the world a different way now,” Gallego told reporters. “I certainly am going to make sure that I’m going to take, you know, personal steps and office steps to make sure that we don’t even get close to a gray line.”

Former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown also alluded to other members of Congress being aware of Swalwell’s actions. “I’m not surprised frankly, because there have been rumors after rumors after rumors, his colleague in Washington pretty much said that. That’s what Adam Schiff said, that’s what Nancy Pelosi said,” Brown told ABC 7.

The Democrats, Lee added, cannot ask voters to trust them on this issue if they fail to hold their members accountable when they engage in abusive behaviors.

“Accountability has to mean something, even when it is uncomfortable, even when it is one of your own, and even when power is involved,” she wrote. “No one and no party should ask for the public’s trust if it is unwilling to hold itself to the same standard.”

The Intercept has not independently verified the allegations against Swalwell. In a statement posted Tuesday, Sara Azari, a criminal defense attorney representing Swalwell, wrote that the former congressman “categorically and unequivocally denies each and every allegation of sexual misconduct and assault that has been leveled against him,” calling the accusations “a ruthless and shameless attempt to smear Congressman Swalwell.”

The Intercept reached out to Swalwell’s communications staff for comment; a reporter for The Hill wrote Tuesday that the relevant staff members no longer work for him. Azari did not immediately respond to The Intercept’s request for comment.

Smith, who spoke out in 2018 about being sexually harassed and assaulted while working in the Maryland state legislature, said she believes that these abuses will continue to happen wherever disparities in power exist. But she was heartened to see how quickly Democrats called out Swalwell, which she said means that survivors have moved the needle on this issue.

“Survivors have been the most powerful piece of holding elected officials and officials accountable. … They are the ones who have continued to fight in a way that has made all of this possible,” said Smith. “Ten years ago, we really just talked about this behind closed doors.”

But we know you won't do that, will you?

I don't know whether I was right and you're on board with this just so California can have another Democratic Party governor, or just to spite me.

And I don't care.

You are cancer.

Late last week I wanted to look at polling in the CA Gov race.
I found a news source which showed that the 2 Republicans were tied with 14%. Swallowwell was leading the Libtards with 12%.
However, the search engine had jammed above the search results an "AI Assist" entry, saying that Swallowwell was leading with 17%. A tad biased, that. I could find no actual reporting article which agreed that he was in a lead of any amount.

Now, I am wondering if 10% of gullible California Libtards will vote for him.
Maybe some conservatives can run some ads for him on the day before the Primary Election. If 17% of CA Libtards could vote for him, that would be sweet.

I've never seen him in the lead, but then again I only look at the RCP aggregate and I ignore individual polls for that very reason.

Remember the push poll Ted was thrilled about showing Trump was going to lose Iowa to Harris?

Hey... Why not. It's not as bad as Governor Pritzker spending millions of his own to support the Republican he didn't want to run against. And it's certainly not as bad as ruining Swalwell's life and family so Katie Porter could be governor is.

Great Idea. If there isn't a Republican thinking of doing this right now, it would be a shame if nobody put that idea in their head.

Your average person is retarded, and most of the ones below average vote Democrat. I'm sure you could get at least 10% of the voters in California to vote for him if you blitzed some fake campaign ads during the week before election day.

Be Evil. Be a dick.

Here is an example of a trial where Trump lost $88.3 million https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E._Jean_Carroll_v._Donald_J._Trump
Trumptards cannot understand that Trump broke a very simple rule and get really upset about how Trump is being treated.

I've never known a Trumptard that consistently, almost religiously, followed rules. They call their way of life "Freedom". Doesn't matter how simple the rule is; they won't follow it unless somebody is watching because hey, they've got to be free. (Real-life example: use Never-Seize on nut/bolt combinations that are exposed to weather and that must eventually be unscrewed without using an acetylene or plasma torch because of an explosion risk. The violation of this rule doesn't have immediate consequences, because neither God nor I is watching every Trumptard every second.)

So what does a Trumptard do with their unmonitored, unwatched time? This: "If it feels good, do it." That is their entire life summarized in 6ix words. The more advanced Trumptards add to that: "just so long as nobody gets hurt", but even the better Trumptards don't actually follow that refinement in their guiding principle, "If it feels good, do it."

There is a simple rule about adultery and a second rule, even simpler, about fornication, but unless some authority is watching, "If it feels good, do it" will overrule all rules. Eric Swalwell is not a Trumptard, but his life is one long violation of simple rules. That is true for all the Trumptards I know and especially true for Trump, who has been sued (and lost) thousands of times and is listed tens of thousands of times in the Epstein files.

Only later, like in the example of rusty nuts and bolts, do the consequences of living without rules become known.

Completely besides the point. Stay on topic.

Trump didn't lose anything. He hasn't paid a time to that lying slut Carroll and he never will.

I'm not upset about how the Legacy Media and Democrat activist judges treat Trump. It's beyond expected. And Trump always ends up winning in the end.

Always.
