I have to say ONE good thing about Al Qaida- they've given terrorism a bad name.

I agree. Although Muslim terrorists have never been the kind you'd want to hang around with. Now the IRA, them's folk you can have a beer with if needs be.

Still, gives hope that no matter how bad our war on terror is, it is possible to eventually win (or at least have it end).

Theres a fundemental difference:
The IRA used terroism to force Britain to the bargaining table, Osama uses it to kill people, because he's a twisted spoilt little rich kid imho.
